"Hun Sen had ordered the ACU, headed by Om Yentieng, to investigate the social labor offices of companies in Phnom Penh and the provinces “following different articles in the press and radio reporting.”
Prime Minister Hun Sen has ordered a government investigation into the business practices of labor recruiters, after a worker died in the facility en route to work in Malaysia, a government spokesman said.
Hun Sen ordered the Anti-Corruption Unit to look into the growing sector of recruitment, following death of Seung Sina earlier this month at the T&P company’s center in Phnom Penh.
T&P officials have denied wrongdoing in the past, but the death followed reports of another woman’s reported escape from the center, during which she said she jumped a fence and broke bones in her legs.
Those two incidents and another death at a separate company earlier this year have underscored the weak system of regulation surrounding the aggressive recruitment of exported labor, especially as more young Cambodian women have sought work as maids in Malaysia.
Information Minister Khieu Kanharith posted on his Facebook page on Friday a note saying Hun Sen had ordered the ACU, headed by Om Yentieng, to investigate the social labor offices of companies in Phnom Penh and the provinces “following different articles in the press and radio reporting.”
ACU officials could not be reached for comment on Friday. Ministry of Interior spokesman Khieu Sopheak said that police have investigated the death at T&P and have filed with the court already.
Meanwhile, at six rights groups and development organizations met in Phnom Penh this week to consider the practice of aggressive recruitment and plan report to the ministries of Labor and Interior.
Recruitment firms have sprung up across the country in the past year, convincing young women to take jobs as domestic help in Malaysia and often offering families money and goods up front.
This has made some companies loathe to release their new recruits, even if the women have changed their minds.

So the problem is that this woman are asking money UP FRONT and after receiving the money they change their mind and do not want to work in Malaysia anymore?
This is cheating!
I understand that the woman undergo a training in Cambodia where they are trained how to work as a house maid. Some of this women do think its too difficult what they have to learn and just want leave without paying their debt?
Of course thats not possible!
Problem will be fixed that in the future the woman do not get any money as Companies will say Cambodian women have a bad reputation about promising to full fill a contract and later refuse.
At the end the woman and families will pay for their cheating!
They will be paid after they worked for one year in Malaysia as people say you cannot trust Khmer People.
Nobody force this women to work in another country. Most of the women I know had a broken relationship before with a Khmer man.
She was no longer a virgin girl so decided to work in another country.
The ROOT PROBLEM are the Families which are sucking money out of their daughters like Vampires!
Never less the women are stupid enough to do so.
Now you can say I am wrong as the women want "help their family" but only giving money is not a real help as the people will not change their live.
Cambodians can only destroy but never build up.
This is the sad truth and thats why they have problems with Viet and Thai People.
Now you can hang me for my open and honest words!
Why wait for Hun Sen to order the investigation? Is Hun Sen the only person that can order?
No suprise as the country has the most cabinet ministers in the world with no responsibility, no policies just waiting for one man's lip.

You can blame that all ministers in Cambodia are useless or you can say that Hun Sen wants to take credits on every things.
Dumb people who does not have any confidence in himself wants to brag and take credit shamelessly on every things.
Remember one minister who changed street' s name (in number) in Battambang province last year without Hun Sen' s approval?
He got berated by Hun Sen in public and hun Sen reversed the the street (street number) name back.
Other time, when he went to Siem Reap, he said smthg like there is no need other ministers, just prime minister to decide on every things.
That why Yourn like him.
They just flatter him that he's smart, brilliant and strong man etc. while Yourn keep flooding Cambodia with illegal Immigrants, border encroachment and set up other traps to vietnamization Cambodia.

One of KI-Media member who has his name in Facebook as Khmer Sovannaphumi but his real name is Pang Sokhoeun, former political asylum and now living in Sweden. He always copies news from here to post in his facebook profile to promote himself, but right now, he tries to remove and blocked anyone who dares to reveal his con activity particular he tries to hide what he has cheated his wife (Sreypov Chea) by having a girlfriend (Sokunthear Sam) behind his wife back. Now, his girlfriend had run way from him after she knew his cheating.
A con man Pang Sokhoeun as well as KI-Media like to insult to the government officers who have affairs, but himself does even worse than other people. What a shame!
When one person had posted in KI-Media and accused that a con man Pang Sokhoeun is a brother of Som Ek (former Chief of Tiger's head sign guerilla, who was arrested and put in prison by Cambodian government) during that time, a cheater Pang Sokhoeun came to deny in his blogs immediately and had pointed the blame to Mr. Sourn Serey Rotha, but this time, he has bury his head in the sand because he cannot deny the truth that he has cheated his wife. Right now, all he can do is removed and blocked anyone who dared to reveal his cheating.
