Illegal Detention of Workers in Phnom Penh- Day One

On Sunday, March 6, Sing Sina, a 35 year-old woman died at T&P Recruitment Agency from a heart attack, according to the police. However, locals remain skeptical. Since then, more and more women have come forward asking for help to be released from T&P, a recruitment agency that trains women to work in Malaysia.

Women are being detained illegally. Children are not allowed to see their mothers. And two weeks after Sina’s death, another woman leapt from the third floor of the T&P building to try and escape, breaking her ankle and heel.

Outside T&P Recruitment Agency
Hearing this news, I joined other SRP members on Thursday, March 10, to Sen Sok district in Phnom Penh to begin investigating T&P recruitment agency where 23 year-old Srun Chan Nang, a maid trainee was being held against her will.

Speaking with the families outside T&P employment agency training center
We were granted permission to speak with about 100 of the trainees at T&P, after being informed that the military police had already interviewed five women who are requesting help to leave. Thirty trainees share a 4mx6m room, on three floors. Under-aged trainees are kept in a separate room on the 3rd floor. Many of these companies prey on women in rural areas who are unaware of their rights.

Being denied entrance inside training center
Without her mother present, they denied her release. Local authorities and police ignored the law that forbids detention against one’s will. Furthermore, local authorities accepted the company’s practice of debts and the charges for food, lodging and extra fees.

Hun Sen needs to work with Madam Mu to identify social need and what else can be done for our khmer society in the name of equality and just for all our of citizens. In Aust, we have what we called the "multiculturalism" where everyone is equally important, it doesn't matter who they are or where they came from as long as they are its citizens, then equal to one significant citizen.

In the west in general, no one is being assasinated by doing political works. Unlike China, they killed the interlactual people who may try to run for political work unless they are one of their party.

Now Khmer gov't tend to adopt this kind of practice but khmer gov't at the same time needs to change the way they opperate due to its morality or way of life where people opinions are also important for its improvement and development.

To do that one must change from being arrogant like ' I am big and you are small and I am right and you are wrong and there is nothing you can do about it'... Instead have compassion, love, respect and try to understand individual's needs and concerns and making sure that their needs have been met.

People working for gov't and gov't working for people....it is this simple as that. Without people there is no gov't and without gov't there is no nation or country. We all need each other for improving our way of life...

On the other hand try to identify the available resources like gold, diamon or oil, rice, fish etc for generating income to rebuil our economy etc. Most of all try to work together as a team and working toward the common goals and common interests for the benefit of our society.

Be aware of outsiders influences in term of basic conflict of interest. Viets should not tell khmer gov't what to do, however they can use a deplomatic dialogue to negotiate on how both country can be achieved in term of common goal and common interest like, the security of both nations/countries etc...

Hun Sen can't work with Ms. Mu by himself unless Hun Sen is allowed by his Master Viet/Youn Hanoi (who orders Hun Sen what to do in Cambodian). We Khmer people need to stand up together to protest against Viet/Youn Hanoi who orders Hun Sen to hurt Khmer people and destroy natural resources in Cambodia and who create the secret Viet/Youn agents in Cambodia to destroy and murder Khmer people until today. Also, Khmer people stand up together to take down Hun Sen and his Viet/Youn evil wife and his family members. Please tell the world that Viet/Youn Hanoi and secret Viet agents have been behind all the killing and grenade in 1997, cheating the election (to make Hun Sen win the election) because of 5 millions illegal Vietnamese people in Cambodia, more they (Viet/Youn) have done to damage the image of Cambodia and Khmer people in the world. Please make your voices heard around the world.
