On March 15, 2011, CEDAC is organizing the World Consumers Day on “SAFE RICE FOR HEALTH AND LIVELIHOOD” at CEDAC’s head office, Phnom Penh. The overall objective is to assert the people’s rights to safe food, a safe environment, life and livelihood. 100 people including farmers, consumers, youths, and Safe Food Experts from the government and related NGOs will attend in the event.

I would consider it safe for consumption.
I heard reports from India of rice farmers committed suicide because the rice seed they used failed to produce. Because it was GM seeds. The reason was they didn't have money to buy more seed to start over. They would have to buy it from Monsanto Company.
I'm afraid that this deceit by Monsanto seed company will cause people to commit suicide if they use seeds that been altered. If the crop fail completely where will they get the money to start over?
Genetically Modified seed is bad. Its not natural as the Creator intended to reproduce after it's own kind.
I'm maybe off the subject but I'm afraid of this being spread about in Asia. We have enough health issues let alone by using GM seeds could contribute to more health problems for the people who are without knowledge of this potential danger.
