Do the Hun Sen's government react on this case involving child exploitation? I think they have done nothing for these poor children. neither seen nor known.

Anonymous said...

Sorry, San Dat only reacts to the front page story of local papers so he can get his name published, He would not do it quietly.

i think there are people with mental illnesses in cambodia. some of them talks too much and talks nonsense. some people are not in their right state of mind. in america, they take mental illnesses seriously! in cambodia, it sort of mixed up with other illnesses. people do need help, especially, the ones who are mentally unstable, really!

I came across 2 kinds of beggars in Phnom Penh, one is on streets, the other at immigration booths inside Phnom Penh airport. The former are beggings for food, the latter for greed and luxury. Almost every time (since 1994) when I check in or check out at the immigration booth, the latter always asks for "coffee money". Sigh!Sigh! Sigh!

Sihanouk in the year 60 had close friendship relation with Communist blocs, there were:
Youn, Phan Van Dong, Red Chinese Chou En Lay, North Korea Kim Il Sung, Communist Soviet Union so called against U.S Imperialism therefore the consequences for Khmer Today downplaying to Cambodia vietnamization:

Down with Indochinese Federation
Down with Vietnamese Imperialism
Down with Youn Political and Economical controlling Cambodia

Down with Youn border Encroachement
Down with youn slaves
Khmer never be better off if you continue the same past mistake...
Cambodia must be independent, stand to your own feet, do not relying on Youn, Chinese or else..
Cambodia could help up to 60 millions people to have a good standard of life if the leaders will not dummy leading skill to serve Cambodia and her people just like in the past and now in the present..plus if we have oil in the short future the standard of Khmer life must be better off..
The history repeat itself....

That what PhD from Hanoi do to him!!!!!

AH PLEU!!!!

Anonymous said...

Hun Sen can't see this because he is also blind!

Anonymous said...

Sen rorvol nas running around and hiding for his life. Sen wasted hundreds of millions dollars bought antique tanks and weapons to fight THAI while he is homeless. Today Sen is just a YUON puppet and powerless to protect CAMBODIA from the Vietnamese expansion.

Anonymous said...

HUN SEN and CPP cannot see the poorest and homeless people because everyone of them has PhD and Stars, so they are so busy looking at the sky, counting the stars or singing karaoke in 5 stars hotel with the Vietnamese prostitutes. This is why they cannot see the Khmer poorest people living on the ground searching for foods to survive and living in slums.

this man looks blind, and he uses his child to guide him while he beg for a living. this goes to show that cambodia still lacks social services. in the western world, they take good care of the handicapped, etc, and he would have a guide dog to help him instead, but in cambodia, it is always the family members that help the handicapped and the disabled members of their family, etc, you know! i say it is more of a society's problem than a gov't one because in cambodian society at large, people seemed to ignore the plight of handicapped people, thus abandoned them to the care of their family. it as their belief that it's was their karma or cause and effect way they did in their previous life in the buddhist belief that made them the way they are! i think that kind of belief is wrong as instead of helping them, people in society abandoned them and look down on them, etc... yes, it's in the society at large, unless people in our society start readjusting or changing our way of thinking or believing like this to some degree and implement a national campaign to help the disabled, the handicapped, etc, we won't see it go away any time soon, really! i say it is the lack of education and exposure to the more developed world out there that seemed to keep cambodia's society at such a behind time way. i think to make a positive change in order to improve this kind of situation, first, educate the society to think differently and to be proactive and help rid of this kind of inequality treatment of human being, you know! i don't think it is so much of the so-called karma or past wrong-doing in a person's life, but more of the inaction or lack of that make people the way they are, you know! if you travel the world and get good education, you know better when you see one, ok!

it's time to stop abusing children like this and get the man proper care and so on, ok! start by changing the people's paradigm or thinking mode, ok! i say it's time to bring cambodia to meet the international standard of human rights, human dignity, equality and common rights and common law of the human beings, etc! in modern cambodia, scene like this should not be tolerated nor ignored, really! help to change and make a difference for all. god bless all.

Dear all friends! I live in prey veng Province near Svay rieng I'm not surprised when I see these pictures, they're accustomed for me and I've been seeing everyday every year. You will see so many Khmer beggers in Vietnam and some are in cambodia. Most of them still trust to Somd-Ach Hun Sen.

Anonymous said...

I live in the USA as well. At least your stupid living in the US or New York forgot that the American homeless people have welfare assistance or shelter, but they still chose to beg. I don't have any sympathy for those, but only a few exception such as when it involves children. Then, I will help them. In Cambodia 90% of population are poor; only the top 10% live in fancy lives by their corruption. So have your heart straight.

Sorry for the little girl that guides her father for money. I am very heart broken to see this kind of picture for our people. I myself have children this age too.

I have my gut feeling to hate Hun Sen 100% because he made Khmer people miserable and lost our land to Youn. He gives Khmer land to Youn along the eastern border as well as three islands. He also gave Youn more land to plant rubber plantation or open casinos by renting the land. But this renting in the name actually Youn take those land for good.

Khmer will become Champa II in the near future along with Lao. Youn is very smart than Khmer leaders. Khmer leaders are all stupid except Mr. Rainsy who tries to protect Khmer interest. But, so far he fails to do it. He shall contact American or European to kick Hun Sen out of power and sign 100 years contract for the USA to take control of Cambodia as British did to Hong Kong.

To fight with Hun Sen by ballot won't win him because Hun Sen has a lot of Youn citizens to vote for him and he stole the votes every election. Only People power or civil war that can win Hun Sen. This is my prediction and opinion.

Khmer Overseas, my dear friend, I believe that we have ONE thing in common -- People power or civil war (coup d'etat?)that can win (get rid of?)Hun Sen. BRAVO! Let's keep our hope or expectation
alive.

I see both human suffering (photo #1)and human compassion (photo #2) displaying on the street of PPenh. Thank you, Lim Pealy, for telling the two sides of the story. I learn from the story that there are so much to do in order to minimize human suffering and maximize human compassion in PPenh and in the other parts of our country. I hope and pray that the day will come soon.
