Bangkok confirmed its stance to reject Indonesian observers to be stationed within the 4.6-square-km zone. It also claimed that King Jayavarman VII was their king.
Thai PM Abhisit Vejjajiva told the news media that Bangkok does not welcome the presence of Indonesian observers in the 4.6-square-km zone if there is no prior new discussion. Abhisit’s declaration was met by Cambodia’s disappointment again and again.
Hor 5 Hong, the Cambodian minister of Foreign Affairs, told reporters last Saturday, following the border meeting between the two countries in Bogor, Indonesia, that the Thai government has no intention of resolving the dragging border dispute between the two countries. The General and the Joint Border Meetings held on 7-8 April were not attended by Prawit Wongsuwam, the Thai minister of Defense, nor by Kasit Piromya, the Thai minister of Foreign Affairs. Only Tea Banh, the Cambodian minister of Defense, and Hor 5 Hong, the Cambodian minister of Foreign Affairs, were sitting lonely in the meeting room.
Recently, Thai TV channel 5, a station owned by the Thai army, commented by saying that King Jayavarman VII was a king of the Thais who built many temples, including those along the border. In the similar vein, in 2003, a Thai star allegedly claimed that Angkor Wat belonged to Thailand. That alleged claim led to protest in front of the Thai embassy and the burning down of several Thai commercial buildings in Cambodia, the damages amounted to $50 million.

Jayavarman VII was the rightful God King or better yet he was the Emperor of Khmer Empire which then there was no Taii(Dai) land but the region was named Siam that allowed the defectors/deserters from Khan colmns during the invasion of Burma and Hanoi region.
Then Taii(Dai) were the conscripts or slaves serving the Kublai Khan when he was expanding his empire beyond China present border. Some were defected and submitted to Jayavarman VII for the mercy to let them live on Khmer land then. Presently Dai-Kadai people are actually the sub group still live under the Communist China in the region bordered with Lao/Yuon/Siam.
Thai people in general are stupid. Throughout the 20th and 21st century, they have fabricated this delusional sense of Thai-centric history.
Thais fail to realize that they once we a nomadic people similar to the Yao (Mien) and Hmong people from southern China, but more violent and barbaric in nature. The Thais originally never had their own country. It was the Khmer who brought these migrating barbaric wondering nomads into Khmer civilization and gave them a sense of culture, customs, royal court, martial arts (pradel serey, bakotor,) clothes, written language, etc. Thais were always the vassals of the Khmers.
If it wasn't for the Khmer people, the Thai would simply be just like the Hmong people in Laos...living on mountains with no country of their own. Thais owe their existence to the Khmer people.
The Thais, instead of thanking their older Khmer brothers for bringing them civilization, decided to stab the Khmers in the back and claim everything that the Khmers gave them as THAI. Thais are opportunists. The Thais will try to market everything as Thai (Thai chili, Thai basil, Thai massage, Muay Thai, Pad Thai etc.) and it is simply because they lack identity, never really had a culture of their own and are full of insecurities.
So the Thais decide that Jayavarman VII was their king. It is true. The Khmers were conquerors of the barbaric Thais and we made them kneel on the ground to worship and ask for mercy of our Khmer king.
Even King Bhumibol Adulyadej (the guy who shot his own brother in cold blood) of Thailand is part Khmer and to this day worships the god-kings of the Khmer empire.
Thai people are:
50% southern Chinese
25% Khmer
25% Lao

Thai leaders and small groups of Thailand are just a bunch of unreliable educators in 21st century. Thai need to lean the history again and go back to review the past history. What had they done to terrorize Khmer people and Khmer Kings who were very soft and kind to them as new comers from Mongol in Nanzhao province in Southern China after Javavarman VII passed away. There were Tai-Chinese refugees (today called Thai after SIAM) from late 12th century. Thai betrayed the Khmer people and kings who them (as Tai-Chinese refugees) with food, shelters, land (SIAM region) and military. Then they attached Khmer people and Kings and took advantages of the weakness of Khmer Kings and military became exhausted to help bad Siam/Thai who were destroyed by Burmese when Thai/Siam interfered Burmese. Thai/Siam have been always very bad ever since and have no respects for Khmer people and Khmer kings.

SO THE present day THAI MILITARY CLAIM THAT KHMER KING JAYAVARAMAN VII IS ALSO THE KING OF THE THAI which was REALLY TRUE since THAI HAD NO KING AT THE TIME. The first Thai king, Prah Nen Rung found Thai Kingdom much later , after getting its independent from us the Khmer at Sukhothay in 1268.

Since 1238 up to its defeat in 1893war Siam hoped to eradicate Khmer identity from old provinces.Mid 1700's two Teocheow who killed one another to annoint themself as Kings. Since then the Teocheow ruled Siam up to 1932 when the other ethnic Chin Hakka,Cantonese revolted and nearly removed the Teocheow from the throne. Chin renounced Siam identity in 1932 to embrace Dai(formerly Kublai Khan slaves) as the new identity for all ethnics living under Teocheow ruling families. During World War II Siam suffered identity confusion one Chin dictator switched back to be called Siam but another Chin dictator reversed to be called Tai.Meanwhile they suppressed Lao and Khmer in aprticular from rising up to power except in one instance they let Khuang Abhaiwong,a mixed Chin Khmer from Battambang, as PM who swore to oppress Khmer ethnic from Siam map.Khuang also was used to stop dictator Phlaek from making Siam a republic under the Japanese colonization because of one of his sister was one of the consorts of the Teocheow Thong Duong King droplets. Khuang humiliated and harassed Khmer identity and heritage. Also it was Khuang idea to want to expand and absorb Battambang-Nokor Wat provinces to be part of Chin-Siam kingdom but it was carried out by a Japanese stooge fascist Phlaek in 1941.After Japan was defeated in 1945 Phlaek was condemned as a republican and a usurper who wanted to make kapik out of Bhumibol family. So he was exiled to die in Japan.Khuang dream to conquer Khmer is still worshipped by the yellowed pad Thai Lin Mingda and pad kapik Teocheow Bhumibol.
Beware Thailand is country that is conquered and ruled by a handful Chin ethnics(Hakka and Teocheow) who see Siam as a slave race to Khan then Khmer empire.Before the Teocheow dynasty, most Siam rulers were either Khmers and Burmans.Until the Teocheow got to rule in 1768, the idea of shedding Siam and Khmer identity was a plot to keep Siam intact but under the Teocheow feet.Also the Teocheow Bhumibol hates Hakka like Thaksin but used another Hakka like Abhisit to help keep him in throne and filthy rich.So in fact there are pro Siam identity folks who want to turn the nation to republic.It makes sense for the military rulers in Bangkok to use Khmer identity and history to their advantage in rally Khmer in highland not to revolt against the Teocheow or Hakka regime.

according to khmer stone inscriptions from the khmer empire, "syam kuk" were dark chocolate colored slaves of khmer elite back then, you know. they were lucky when our god-kings died due to old age, etc, then they declared their independence from the declining power of the khmer empire and civilization then. we know that from khmer history. shame on siem thugs to try to claim all of a sudden that our great king jayavarman was their king. it was more like syam kuk was khmer indentured slaves, really, the bottom of the society type of people back then, you know, because slaves are not allowed to sleep in a house, instead they slept in with the animals in ancient khmer way, you know, that was syam kuk, the indentured khmer slaves. then later when they gained their independence, they tried to change their name to thai or thailand, etc, you know! but they always were the dark, ugly colored haired and skin of khmer slave, really!
