PHNOM PENH, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Thai troops have used cluster bombs and poisonous smoke in the armed clashes on Saturday morning over the border disputed area at the Ta Mon Thom temple and Ta Krabey temple in Oddar Meanchey province, said a Cambodian military commander on Saturday.
"They (Thai troops) have not only fired poisonous smoke on our troops, but they have also used cluster bombs to attack on Cambodian troops and surrounding villages," Suos Sothea, deputy commander of the artillery unit, told media from the battle fields on Saturday.
The fighting began at 6:15 a.m. and lasted until 10:25 a.m., he said.
"There were no rumbles of gunfire explosions at 10:25 a.m., but we don't know if the fighting ended or not, it depends on the Thai side," he said.
He said that some Cambodian soldiers had been injured in Saturday morning's clashes, but declined to disclose the exact figure.
This is the second consecutive day of military clashes between Cambodian and Thai troops over the disputed border areas after Friday's clashes claimed at least 6 lives of both sides' troops and injured over a dozen, and forced thousands of both sides' locals to flee home.
The most recent military clash reoccurred just more than two months after the deadly clash on Feb. 4-7 at the disputed border area next to the Preah Vihear temple, a World Heritage Site.

These clashes will not find any solution for any dispute so they have to sit and talk with each other then they can find a good and peaceful solution for this situation.
What forced Thai to use clusters bombs and chemical bombs is simple losing is the words no way out use everything even illegal .

Again, I urge the khmer gov't to increase in migrating Viets for at least another 2 millions and place them around preah vihear area along the 4.6km ASAP. Because the Thai people are taking advantage of us and our down fall. We have to find way to protect our nation and our country and to do that we all must be united and work together as a team. Remember this the Viet helped us in many way but never did the Thai. In 1979-1980 they helped to killed our people by dumping them in the mine-field. The savage Thais in the military are not much different from animals. From 1979-1982, thousands of Cambodians people died in the mine field, or were murdered by the Thai beasts.
Cambodia should return the favor by using poison gas on the battlefield against the Thai rats.

According to the UN, Cambodia and Thailand have not signed the Convention on Cluster Munitions which prohibits the use of cluster bombs.
Thailand and Cambodia are not among the 43 countries that have ratified the Convention on Cluster Munitions, which has taken effect since August 1, 2010, and bans the stockpiling, use and transfers of existing cluster bombs and provides for the clearing up of unexploded munitions.
So,Thai and khmer can be used anything to win the war.
