The owner of Golden Star Palace Chinese Restaurant at Cabramatta is former Khmer Rouge Military Commanders who murdered thousands of innocent Cambodian life during Pol Pot regime. If they condemn and bring Kaing Guek Eav (Duch) to justice why Khmer rouge court of justice should be exemption the owner of Golden Star Palace that murdered thousands of Khmer lives and took their belonging such as gold, jewelry, diamonds to Australia become very rich family and live in peace like theses. That is very unfair to human being that he murdered very cruelty and painful death.
We are Khmer people and Khmer Communities around the world would like Khmer Rouge Court of justice, KI Media, VOA, Radio Free Asia, Radio France International, Mr. Sam Rainsy, World Human Right Group, UN, Australian Government to bring this war criminal to justice like Kaing Guek Eav (Duch).
We are human being we must not support war criminal who murdered thousands human life like this.

Only Mr. Frank Smith could have access to some of the interesting Khmer people in Cambodia. This young woman is very interesting. This is my first time to see an outspoken Khmer woman who speaks so freely. Other so-called intectual Khmer women are very controlled in their speech so as not to offend anyone. By the way, should Frank Smith be calling that young lady as "Neang" instead of Pa'oun". I bet Frank is at least twice that young girl's age.

'Pa'oun' is probably the right form of address here. Khmers or Asians generally age well, and appearances can be deceptive!

Pa'oun (or even better, 'Oaun') is much more affectionate/endearing and less distant/aloof/formal than 'Neang', thus, making it easier for the interviewee to open up to the interviewer.

But, never mind, a chosen term of address, so long as the speech is endorsed with kindness.

By the way, good lively interview, and full marks to the interviewer for his mastery of the Khmer tongue!

What's an inspiring interview...

What a difference to hear a young woman speaks with a clear mind and properly articulates her thought.

There's hope after all:)

She is indeed a hidden gem proudly shown to the world by Mr. Frank Smith. I wish Mr. Frank would show more Khmer people like that young woman to the world. I've never ever expected a Khmer woman from Cambodia to even have that kind of detailed observatons as hers at all. Observe how she punctuate her specific English terms to express and clarify her thoughts in the Khmer context. Mr. Frank is the best interviewer ever.
