Cambodian parliamentarian and former cabinet minister Mu Sochua is an unrelenting advocate for women’s rights and democracy. As minister of women’s affairs, Sochua negotiated a landmark agreement with Thailand to protect the rights of Cambodian women trafficked as sex workers. As a legislator, she drafted and secured passage of Cambodia’s domestic violence law. Sochua launched a campaign to bring nongovernmental organizations, law enforcement officials and women in rural areas into a national dialogue to protect women and girls victimized by trafficking and boost prevention efforts nationwide. Drawing on her extensive experience working with women in Cambodia and throughout Asia, Sochua will discuss why politics matter to women and how women can and should embrace politics to build inclusive, democratic communities.

Look at disgraced Mu Sochua's face is thick, oily and really ugly. It is really hard to see any Khmer's woman who is ugly face like her.
Disgraced Mu Sochua’s problem all along, is that she is trying to be a politician. She's not, never has been and quite obviously, never will be. She should have just been herself, provide alternative policies and show Khmer people what a great alternative MP opposition she would be. Instead, her foray into being a politician has been a disaster. She comes across as pretending to be something she's not.
While the nation is facing Thailand's invasion, complex economic, social and environmental issues disgraced Mu Sochua tries to promote her political stunt, aimed to get media attention. If this wasn’t such a clear demonstration of her selfish pursuit of personal ambition it would be laughable. There is no doubt that Mu Sochua has no real regard for the best interest of the nation. She is driven solely by a desire to become a “Champion of Women or new Aung San Suu Kyi” by any means available to her, even if that has the potential to destabilize the country. Even worse when many Khmer women have suffered by Thailand's artillery from 4 to 7 February 2011, she was enjoying herself in overseas, but now she is shameless appealed to other Khmer women to strike against the government.
People of integrity admit their faults, make amends are judged fairly...Disgraced Mu Sochua is lacking of integrity and common sense and tries to change Cambodia into her own world.
Disgraced Mu Sochua is good in political stunt but not a substantial.

Would Ki Media, please take the picture of this woman of out of this news? What does she do to help you? How much helps do you aquire from her? What is her education? Why can she works in Phnom Penh as a high ranking officer in Cambodia? DO you receive any financial help from her?
Some of you are so rude and disrespectful to Ms. Mu Sochua. She is a very nice woman and have been a victim of CPP members and Hun Sen.
It sounds funny to me that you guys are just happy to live in Cambodia under the communist environment led by CPP members and Hun Sen who are full of corruptions. What kind of freedom do you have under this regime?
I think you guys are full of yourselves are very ignorant. There are many people of Cambodia suffering from the abusive CPP members and Hun Sen. CPP members and Hun Sen have misled Cambodia and Cambodian people, causing the serious corruptions and illegal evictions to the poor people without the reasonable compensation in the country. The international communities are watching the wrong doing that CPP members and Hun Sen have been doing.
She is trying very hard to do the right thing for Cambodia and Cambodian people as a whole, however she need to present her plans and political agenda upfront clearly for all to know and see. We must have total DEMOCRACY, RESPECTS FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AND EQUALITIES THROUGH-OUT THE COUNTRY. CAMBODIA NOW A DAY IS IN THE STATE OF EVERY MAN, WOMAN, CHILD FOR THEMSELVES, PEOPLE WITH POWER AND MONEY WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE UPPER HANDS. Here you go again, there are many communist Vietnamese residents pretending to be Khmer (Cambodian) residents, creating a group name "Khmer in Sydney (CBD) in Australia, and attacking the Cambodia/Khmer democratic movement in Cambodia, Sam Rainsy Part leaded by Ms. Mu Sochua. Sam Rainsy was exiled and now temporarily live in France to avoid illegal prison sentence for 2 years plus 10 years because of the unreliable accusation of Vietnamese CPP leaders in Phnom Penh. Vietnamese-Yuon CPP members have pushed Hun Sen, Heng Samrin and Chea Sim to sentence Mr. Sam Rainsy (SRP leader) who falsified the land of Cambodian farmers was taken by Vietnam at the border.
You, Khmer in Sydney CBD group of people, are destroying the democracy in Cambodia, worrying about your businesses being illegally operated in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, having illegal Vietnamese relatives taking advantages of Cambodia's natural resources and land real estates development. This is how you guys are making money and getting rich there by trading and have a lot of money to live in Sydney, Australia.
I don't know about you, Khmer in Sydney CBD, if you are not Vietnamese residents, you need to help poor and helpless Cambodia people who have been illegally evicted by CPP members and Hun Sen and who have no place to go. Those Cambodian victims have been shot to death by Vietnamese troops and soldiers at the border and took Cambodian farmer's land. Koh Tral Island must not be forgotten

Why do Koh Tral Island, known in Vietnam as Phu Quoc, a sea and land area covering proximately over 10,000 km2 [Note: the actual land size of Koh Tral itself is 574 square kilometres (222 sq miles)] have been lost to Vietnam by whose treaty? Why don’t Cambodia government be transparent and explain to Cambodia army at front line and the whole nation about this? Why don't they include this into education system? Why?
Cambodian armies are fighting at front line for 4.6 km2 on the Thai border and what's about over 10,000km2 of Cambodia to Vietnam. Nobody dare to talk about it! Why? Cambodian armies you are decide the fate of your nation, Cambodian army as well as Cambodian people must rethink about this again and again. Is it fair?
Koh Tral Island, the sea and land area of over 10,000 square kilometres have been lost to Vietnam by the 1979 to 1985 treaties. The Cambodian army at front line as well as all Cambodian people must rethink again about these issues. The Cambodian army at front lines suffer under rain, wind, bullets, bombs, lack of foods, lack of nutrition and their families have no health care assistance, no securities after they died but a very small group eat well, sleep well, sleep in first class hotel with air conditioning system with message from young girls, have first class medical care from oversea medical treatments, they are billionaires, millionaires who sell out the country to be rich and make the Cambodian people suffer everyday.
Who signed the treaty 1979-1985 that resulted in the loss over 10,000 km2 of Cambodia??? Why they are not being transparent and brave enough to inform all Cambodians and Cambodian army at front line about these issues? Why don't they include Koh Tral (Koh Tral size is bigger than the whole Phom Phen and bigger than Singapore [Note: Singapore's present land size is 704 km2 (271.8 sq mi)]) with heap of great natural resources, in the Cambodian education system?
Look at Hun Sen's families, relatives and friends- they are billionaires, millionaires. Where did they get the money from when we all just got out of war with empty hands [in 1979]? Hun Sen always say in his speeches that Cambodia had just risen up from the ashes of war, just got up from Year Zero with empty hands and how come they are billionaires, millionaires but 90% of innocent Cambodian people are so poor and struggling with their livelihood every day?
