Yesterday, 29 April 2011, we left ...... at 7:00 a.m. for Prasat Ta Moan and Prasat Ta Krabey in Banteay Ampil district, Oddar Meanchey. We were altogther about 120 persons including buddhist monks, district officials and the population (2 six-wheel trucks, 2 vans and 18 cars). We arrived there at 3:00 pm. It took that long because the road condition from ...... to National Road 5 was so bad due to heavy rain which had been pouring the whole night before we left. The road was slippery. The temporary bridge that was put accross the stream was washed away. But we were determined to go. And finally, it turned out to be all right.
We met with all the local commanders and combattants of Division 42 at a place about 3 Km from the Prasat Ta Moan front line. The donations that we brought to our soldiers were huge:
- 14,154,000 Riels
- 1,343 US dollars
- 4,573 Thai baths
- 452 boxes of dried noodles
- 10,000 bags of batteries
- 3,246 cakes (Noum Ansam chek and chrouk)
- 2,497 fish cans
- 302 bottles of soy sauce
- 18 kg of sugar
- 222 bottles of fish paste
- 45 kgs of salted and smoked fish
- 405 bottles of Preng Kola (our soldiers in the trench need those)
- 234 bags of water
- 6 live pigs
- 67 pieces of soap
- 10 bags of rice
- 112 bottles of cooking oil
- 320 bottles of toothpaste
- and other stuffs for the need of our soldiers.
We gave 500 Dollars to the families who had lost their husbands and sons. Afterwards, we went to the foot of the Dangrek Mountain which is about 300 (three hundred) meters from the front line at Prasat Ta Moan battlefield. We told our soldiers there that our compatriots living in the United States, Canada and France are always with them. Their heroic struggle to defend our territorial integrity had been heard loudly. They expressed their thanks to all.
We left that place at about 5:10 pm. On our way back for ......, at about 7:00 pm, we received a phone call from our soldier informing us that the Thais were firing 60 mm mortars at the place where we stood 2 hours earlier.
We arrived safely in ...... around mid-night. While I am writing this mail to you, the fighting is still on with small arms and hand grenades.
The situation remains tense. All the population had left their homes for their safety. All the houses in those places were empty. No body at homes. The road leading to the Mountain was hit by artillery shells. A number of houses were destroyed. The field commanders are now talking with their Thai counterparts to establish a ceasefire. Can a truce be hold?
Once again we are thankful to all for their supports. Without your generous donations this trip might not be made with this huge donations that gave a big boost to the spirit of our soldiers at the front line.

Var Kim Hong does recognize that Cambodia, if compared to the colonial Service Geographique de l’Indochine scale map 1/100,000 and the 1985 delimitation treaty, will loses 9,000 hectares; and compared to U.S Army Mapping Service scale map 1/50,000 with the 1985 Treaty, would lose about 7,900 hectares to Vietnam. This statement was confirmed by Var Kim Hong to Mr. Touch Bora Esq through a telephone conversation on 30 August 2002 at 4:30 p.m. (Sydney time), which Mr. Touch Bora Esq wrote in his letter dated on 9 September 2002 sent to Sam Dach Ta Noroudom Sihanouk concerning over border affairs.
In fact, the loss is absolutely more than the 1000 square kilometers stated by MP Sam Rainsy in his statement, if we add the size of the historical water of 30000 square kilometers awarded to Vietnam under the 1982 Agreement which has been into affect and now already become under the full control of Vietnam. And this would not be the last if the equidistance principle be used to delimit the maritime boundary, Cambodia will lose an additional area of sea and seabed measuring at least 860 square nautical miles from the Brevie Line to the north, analyzed by Mr. Touch Bora Esq or another 10000 square kilometers confirmed by Mr. Sean Pengse, the President of the Cambodian Border Committee Worldwide, which exclusively include another Koh Poula Wai to Vietnam added to the previous lost islands- Koh Tral (Dao Phu Quoc) and Koh Poulo Panjang (Dao Thu Chu).
This is why sVar Kim Hong said in front of Students´s Movement for Democracy (SMD), and Sam Dach Ta Norodom Sihanouk on 22 Janaury 2000 during our audience with him concerning the border resolution with Vietnam that; “If we want peace, we must sacrifice our flesh to the tiger.” The truth is discovered now that, “Sacrifice the flesh to tiger actually means cutting our land to the Viet.” This word was clearly spoken out from his mouth and there were Sam Dach Ta as witness and 31 members.
We must condemn this Var Kim Hong for his role in helping the traitorous regime of Hun Sen.

Koh Tral Island must not be forgotten

Why do Koh Tral Island, known in Vietnam as Phu Quoc, a sea and land area covering proximately over 10,000 km2 [Note: the actual land size of Koh Tral itself is 574 square kilometres (222 sq miles)] have been lost to Vietnam by whose treaty? Why don’t Cambodia government be transparent and explain to Cambodia army at front line and the whole nation about this? Why don't they include this into education system? Why?
Cambodian armies are fighting at front line for 4.6 km2 on the Thai border and what's about over 10,000km2 of Cambodia to Vietnam. Nobody dare to talk about it! Why? Cambodian armies you are decide the fate of your nation, Cambodian army as well as Cambodian people must rethink about this again and again. Is it fair?
Koh Tral Island, the sea and land area of over 10,000 square kilometres have been lost to Vietnam by the 1979 to 1985 treaties. The Cambodian army at front line as well as all Cambodian people must rethink again about these issues. Are Cambodian army fighting to protect the Cambodia Nation or protecting a very small group that own big lands, big properties or only protecting a small group but disguising as protecting the Khmer nation?
The Cambodian army at front lines suffer under rain, wind, bullets, bombs, lack of foods, lack of nutrition and their families have no health care assistance, no securities after they died but a very small group eat well, sleep well, sleep in first class hotel with air conditioning system with message from young girls, have first class medical care from oversea medical treatments, they are billionaires, millionaires who sell out the country to be rich and make the Cambodian people suffer everyday.
Who signed the treaty 1979-1985 that resulted in the loss over 10,000 km2 of Cambodia??? Why they are not being transparent and brave enough to inform all Cambodians and Cambodian army at front line about these issues? Why don't they include Koh Tral (Koh Tral size is bigger than the whole Phom Phen and bigger than Singapore [Note: Singapore's present land size is 704 km2 (271.8 sq mi)]) with heap of great natural resources, in the Cambodian education system?
Look at Hun Sen's families, relatives and friends- they are billionaires, millionaires. Where did they get the money from when we all just got out of war with empty hands [in 1979]? Hun Sen always say in his speeches that Cambodia had just risen up from the ashes of war, just got up from Year Zero with empty hands and how come they are billionaires, millionaires but 90% of innocent Cambodian people are so poor and struggling with their livelihood every day?

All Khmer people will not survive without CAMBODIA. If CAMBODIA is not autonomy,independence, sovereignty,Vietnamese involvements and movements.
The last KHMER ERA is in the Vietnamese dirty political involvements and movements inside the CPP's backbone.
ALL KHMER PEOPLE IN THE WORLD MUST INVOLVE IN ANY SITUATIONS TO SAVE CAMBODIA FROM THE VIETNAMESE EXPANSION NOW OR CAMBODIA WILL BE GONE LIKE KHMER KROM.
All Khmer people supported the war on the wrong side of the border it should Cambodia-Vietnam border and inside Cambodia the millions of Vietnamese people must be remove from Cambodia. Cambodia-Thai border was nothing compared to Vietnamese inside Cambodia and controlling the CPP government.
Hun Sen is wasting Khmer life and $500 million dollars on Preah Vihear for nothing. Eventually all Khmer people and Hun Sen are country less by the Vietnamese supervision.
We may not work on the right tracks, but we also don't need some stupid advises.
Better to work with one, whom we have freedom to speak, learn to read and write our Khmer Language, protect our identity as Khmer.
You think, we Khmer should work with Thai, whom did not allow until now our Khmer brother-Sister in Surin, Borei Ram and Sisaket and other part of Thailand to learn, read, write and speak openly their own Khmer language and lost their Identity as Khmer.

7:44pm my comments was to help Khmer people to understand between the millions of Vietnamese people living inside Cambodia and our fighting on Preah Vihear temple it is worth anything to wasted Khmer life and money while millions of Khmer people in Cambodia are suffering, starvation, homeless, jobless, etc.
We have been praying for our soldiers for their safety to defend our motherland at the frontline.
As always, we owe them a lot. We must thank you for their sacrifice to defend our land. Their courage, valor and irreplaceable life for our motherland shall never be forgotten.

In 1960's Sihanouk was negotiated with Thai not war and went on for International helped on Preah Vihear temple but ignored Koh Tral and Khmer Krom.
Now HUN Sen brainless PM declared war without thinking on the long-term consequences to the Khmer people and his budget. The Preah Vihear temple conflicts costing so high that Hun Sen cannot afford it in the long run and the Vietnamese government will step in using their troops and money to get an extra land from Thai. It will be a long term Viet-Thai War and a great destruction to all KHMER people will become the KILLING FIELD II.
Khmer people long term suffering, homeless, hardship, etc. will continue to the end of the KHMER ERA as long as HUN SEN in power. When HUN SEN die CAMBODIA will be disappearing from the WORLD MAP like KHMER KROM.
HUN SEN negotiations with THAI will never come to an ends as long as millions of Vietnamese people living in Cambodia are existed. THAI will point finger at HUN SEN internal political affairs with the Vietnamese.
By the way you look at everything, it's neither Thai or Viet to blame. Khmer leaders did it all by themselves. They have been always the ones that destroy Cambodia. I have to say Khmer is quite dumb.
Hun sen's army never ever win the war. There is poor moral, poor in uniform, no maney to pay for their salary, how can these soldiers willing to fight and die for you hun sen?
Ask Hun Sen to help. He can just sell one of the houses.
