Did Hun Xen give land away to Vietnam?

The two PMs also witnessed the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the two governments on the adjustments of the borderline for several pending areas on the Vietnam - Cambodia land border and a cooperative agreement between the two countries’ aviation sectors.
(VOV) - A Vietnamese Government delegation led by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung arrived in Phnom Penh on April 23, starting a working visit to Cambodia at the invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen.

Traditional relationships under review

At a meeting with former Cambodian King Norodom Sihanouk on the afternoon the same day, PM Dung expressed his delight at the great achievements made by the Cambodian people over the past time.

He affirmed that the Vietnamese State, Government and people always attaches great importance to consolidating and strengthening the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Cambodia for the benefit of both peoples and for peace, stability and cooperation in the region and the world as a whole.

The former Cambodian King warmly welcomed PM Dung’s visit and expressed his deep gratitude to the Vietnamese Government and people for their valuable support for the Cambodian people in the past and at present.

He said he hopes that the Cambodia-Vietnam traditional friendship and cooperation will be consolidated for the prosperity of the two countries.

Previously, the Vietnamese government leader met with Samdech Chea Sim, Acting Head of State and President of the Senate and Nguon Nhel, Acting President of the National Assembly.

At the meetings, both sides expressed their satisfactions at the development of the traditional friendship between the two countries as well as the cooperation between the two parliaments and two peoples over the past time.

The leaders of Cambodia’s legislative bodies thanked the Vietnamese people for their wholehearted support for Cambodia in the process of national revival.

They pledged to do their best to strengthen the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in the future.

Promoting Vietnam-Cambodia comprehensive cooperation

Also on April 23, PM Dung and his Cambodian counterpart, Samdech Hun Sen, discussed ways to foster the Vietnam-Cambodia cooperation.

The two PMs were delighted that the solidarity, friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia continue to develop in all fields.

They highly valued preparations for the second Vietnam - Cambodia Investment Promotion Conference on April 24 during which a number of cooperative agreements in such areas as aviation, banking, telecommunication, hydroelectricity, mining, rubber and sugarcane growing will be signed by both parties.

The two leaders expressed their belief that the Vietnam-Cambodia border demarcation will soon be completed, contributing to ensuring peace, development, and prosperity in the region and the world as well.

They agreed to assigned the two countries’ Joint Committee for Land Border Demarcation and Marker Planting to soon reach definite settlement of the locations of markers No. 30 and 275 at the Le Thanh (Gia Lai) – Odadao (Ratanakiri) and the Tinh Bien (An Giang) – Phnom Don (Takeo) international border gates and marker No. 314 in Kien Giang-Kampot provinces, the last one on the land border line between the two countries, and the areas of Chang Riec, Tan Ha, Tan Dong and Tan Binh (Tay Ninh province), On Lung Chrey, Thlok Trach, Bung Chron, and Phum Don (Kampong Cham province).

The definite settlement of the above-mentioned marker positions and areas will help Vietnam and Cambodia continue addressing other existing areas, creating a favourable premise for the completion of border demarcation and marker planting work along the entire Vietnam – Cambodia land borderline by the end of 2012 as agreed by the two countries leaders.

Mr. Dung and Mr. Hun Sen also expressed their deep worries over the negative impacts on the environment of the hydroelectric power plants on the main stream of the Mekong River, including the Sayabouly dam.

They hoped that related countries along the banks of the Mekong River, including Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam, and the Mekong River Commission (MRC) International will discuss carefully on this issue before making a decision on the building of hydroelectric power works.

PM Hun Sen informed his Vietnamese counterpart on the recent border conflicts between Cambodia and Thailand. PM Dung expressed his deep concerns about complicated situations on the Cambodia - Thailand border.

As a neighbour of both Cambodia and Thailand, and a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Vietnam hopes Thailand and Cambodia will do their best to restrain themselves to avoid armed conflicts and resolving dispute through peaceful negotiations, basing on the basic principles of international law and the UN Charter, and in the spirit of friendship and ASEAN solidarity for the two peoples’ interests and for peace, stability and cooperation in the region and the world, Mr. Dung said.

On behalf of Vietnam, he calls upon Cambodia and Thailand to seriously implement commitments reached at the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting Retreat in Jakarta, Indonesia on February 22, 2011, to prevent the situation from becoming more complicated.

The two PMs also witnessed the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the two governments on the adjustments of the borderline for several pending areas on the Vietnam - Cambodia land border and a cooperative agreement between the two countries’ aviation sectors.

On the evening of April 23, Mr. Hun Sen gave a banquet in honour of PM Dung and his entourage.

The two PMs are planned to co-chair a Vietnam-Cambodia Investment Promotion conference on April, 24, which is expected to boost the economic cooperation between the two countries.

Var Kim Hong does recognize that Cambodia, if compared to the colonial Service Geographique de l’Indochine scale map 1/100,000 and the 1985 delimitation treaty, will loses 9,000 hectares; and compared to U.S Army Mapping Service scale map 1/50,000 with the 1985 Treaty, would lose about 7,900 hectares to Vietnam. This statement was confirmed by Var Kim Hong to Mr. Touch Bora Esq through a telephone conversation on 30 August 2002 at 4:30 p.m. (Sydney time), which Mr. Touch Bora Esq wrote in his letter dated on 9 September 2002 sent to Sam Dach Ta Noroudom Sihanouk concerning over border affairs.
In fact, the loss is absolutely more than the 1000 square kilometers stated by MP Sam Rainsy in his statement, if we add the size of the historical water of 30000 square kilometers awarded to Vietnam under the 1982 Agreement which has been into affect and now already become under the full control of Vietnam. And this would not be the last if the equidistance principle be used to delimit the maritime boundary, Cambodia will lose an additional area of sea and seabed measuring at least 860 square nautical miles from the Brevie Line to the north, analyzed by Mr. Touch Bora Esq or another 10000 square kilometers confirmed by Mr. Sean Pengse, the President of the Cambodian Border Committee Worldwide, which exclusively include another Koh Poula Wai to Vietnam added to the previous lost islands- Koh Tral (Dao Phu Quoc) and Koh Poulo Panjang (Dao Thu Chu).

This is why sVar Kim Hong said in front of Students´s Movement for Democracy (SMD), and Sam Dach Ta Norodom Sihanouk on 22 Janaury 2000 during our audience with him concerning the border resolution with Vietnam that; “If we want peace, we must sacrifice our flesh to the tiger.” The truth is discovered now that, “Sacrifice the flesh to tiger actually means cutting our land to the Viet.” This word was clearly spoken out from his mouth and there were Sam Dach Ta as witness and 31 members.

We must condemn this Var Kim Hong for his role in helping the traitorous regime of Hun Sen.

Koh Tral Island must not be forgotten

By Ms. Rattana Keo

Why do Koh Tral Island, known in Vietnam as Phu Quoc, a sea and land area covering proximately over 10,000 km2 [Note: the actual land size of Koh Tral itself is 574 square kilometres (222 sq miles)] have been lost to Vietnam by whose treaty? Why don’t Cambodia government be transparent and explain to Cambodia army at front line and the whole nation about this? Why don't they include this into education system? Why?

Cambodian armies are fighting at front line for 4.6 km2 on the Thai border and what's about over 10,000km2 of Cambodia to Vietnam. Nobody dare to talk about it! Why? Cambodian armies you are decide the fate of your nation, Cambodian army as well as Cambodian people must rethink about this again and again. Is it fair?

Koh Tral Island, the sea and land area of over 10,000 square kilometres have been lost to Vietnam by the 1979 to 1985 treaties. The Cambodian army at front line as well as all Cambodian people must rethink again about these issues. Are Cambodian army fighting to protect the Cambodia Nation or protecting a very small group that own big lands, big properties or only protecting a small group but disguising as protecting the Khmer nation?

The Cambodian army at front lines suffer under rain, wind, bullets, bombs, lack of foods, lack of nutrition and their families have no health care assistance, no securities after they died but a very small group eat well, sleep well, sleep in first class hotel with air conditioning system with message from young girls, have first class medical care from oversea medical treatments, they are billionaires, millionaires who sell out the country to be rich and make the Cambodian people suffer everyday.

Who signed the treaty 1979-1985 that resulted in the loss over 10,000 km2 of Cambodia??? Why they are not being transparent and brave enough to inform all Cambodians and Cambodian army at front line about these issues? Why don't they include Koh Tral (Koh Tral size is bigger than the whole Phom Phen and bigger than Singapore [Note: Singapore's present land size is 704 km2 (271.8 sq mi)]) with heap of great natural resources, in the Cambodian education system?

Look at Hun Sen's families, relatives and friends- they are billionaires, millionaires. Where did they get the money from when we all just got out of war with empty hands [in 1979]? Hun Sen always say in his speeches that Cambodia had just risen up from the ashes of war, just got up from Year Zero with empty hands and how come they are billionaires, millionaires but 90% of innocent Cambodian people are so poor and struggling with their livelihood every day?

Hun Sen name means:

Hun = share, meanning the share of Vietnam in Cambodia soil

Sen = Give tresures too, meanning give all Cambodia tresures to Vietnam.

The name Hun Sen was given by Vietnam to remind "Hun Sen" about his role in Cambodia to Vietnam.

Communist Vietnam needs to return Koh Tral back to Cambodia. Vietnam can not have Koh Tral as Vietnam renamed Koh Tral to Dao Phu Quoc after Phu Quoc.

Vietnam broke PEACE ACCORD AGREEMENT in Paris 1993 because Vietnam illegally took the lands and islands from Cambodia after illegally for Hun Sen signed the deal with Vietnam over the border and map.

Hun Sen was illegally installed and set up by Communist Vietnam without the interventions of the International Communities, the UN, Geneva and Paris.

Communist Vietnam has pushed Hun Sen and Communist Yuon CPP members in Phnom Penh to give more from Cambodia, like Forest, Natural Resources, Fishes, Intellectual properties, money from International Donors, and more

Communist Vietnam still borrow hands from Cambodian people to fight with Thailand at the borders while the hidden Yuon faces at the borders are waiting to take the opportunity and hurt Cambodian people until today.

The UN, International Donors, USA, NATO and powerful countries like Brazil, Canada, UK, etc, should take a look at the what Communist Vietnamese leaders from Hanoi causing the major problems, cheating and stealing in the blind eyes, making a very personal friendship and relationship with illegally Communist-Vietnamese installed PM Hun Sen in Cambodia. Communist Vietnam tried to take advantages of Hun Sen as much as they could while illegal PM Hun Sen still stays alive and until Hun Sen is dead.
