The ECCC structure and the selection of the Cambodian judges, co-investigating judges or prosecutors and the rules to be used to governed any decisions and procedures were all inadequate and full of flaws from the beginning.
There will never be any reasonable justice everyone can agree to call it a justice or live with in Cambodia under the CPP and Hun Sen.
The CPP will never prosecute those people who have switched side to work for them as these people are now their reasonably effective instruments to defend their regime at all cost. These people with their background in the Killing Fields of Cambodia have no hesitation to kill again anyone who opposes the CPP and Hun Sen. They are certain the assets received without any investments.
Most of these people are commanders of the KR army who are now serving the CPP and they undoubtedly don't care if Vietnam takes over Cambodia eventually or they are serving their former and much hated ennemies as long as their survival at this time can be guaranteed.
Don't look for justice, it won't happen and Hun Sen is prepared at any moment to kick the ECCC and the UN out of Cambodia.
He only lets them stay as long as their nuisance is bearable and their presence helps make his regime look good and earn a few more dollars.
The CPP and Hun Sen have already been brainwashed and put into the position of no way out by Vietnam, i.e. either you serve me or I will replace you by your fellow Cambodians who are eager to serve me, that they will never do anything for Cambodia if doing so will affect or interfere with the long-term interests of Vietnam.
Unfortunately, it looks like Vietnam is in Cambodia to stay. The new strategy and long-term vision of Mr. Ho Chi Minh with respect to Indochina have been changed and it is now focusing on swallowing the whole nation slowly, but surely in such a way that those and things being swallowed have no clue what is happening!

The oppositions in Cambodia have no formula by which they can use to help with their being united. Survival of Cambodia is not a good enough incentive for them at all, which is very unfortunate.
The Royal Family and the King, especially take an easy way out by doing nothing about anything and just remain inactive until their natural death, which will happen eventually as their relevance will become obsolete as time goes by.
Cambodia is certainly in deep trouble of losing herself completely as time moves on!

Koh Tral Island must not be forgotten

Why do Koh Tral Island, known in Vietnam as Phu Quoc, a sea and land area covering proximately over 30,000 km2 [Note: the actual land size of Koh Tral itself is 574 square kilometres (222 sq miles)] have been lost to Vietnam by whose treaty? Why don’t Cambodia government be transparent and explain to Cambodia army at front line and the whole nation about this? Why don't they include this into education system? Why?
Cambodian armies are fighting at front line for 4.6 km2 on the Thai border and what's about over 30,000km2 of Cambodia to Vietnam. Nobody dare to talk about it! Why? Cambodian armies you are decide the fate of your nation, Cambodian army as well as Cambodian people must rethink about this again and again. Is it fair?

Who signed the treaty 1979-1985 that resulted in the loss over 30,000 km2 of Cambodia??? Why they are not being transparent and brave enough to inform all Cambodians and Cambodian army at front line about these issues? Why don't they include Koh Tral (Koh Tral size is bigger than the whole Phom Phen and bigger than Singapore [Note: Singapore's present land size is 704 km2 (271.8 sq mi)]) with heap of great natural resources, in the Cambodian education system?
Look at Hun Sen's families, relatives and friends- they are billionaires, millionaires. Where did they get the money from when we all just got out of war with empty hands [in 1979]? Hun Sen always say in his speeches that Cambodia had just risen up from the ashes of war, just got up from Year Zero with empty hands and how come they are billionaires, millionaires but 90% of innocent Cambodian people are so poor and struggling with their livelihood every day?
Koh Tral was a Cambodian island, and technically and legally, remained a Cambodian island until today.
