Thailand will ask the World Heritage Committee to postpone consideration of a management plan for the Preah Vihear temple until there is a ruling from the International Court of Justice on the border conflict.
Natural Resources and Environment Minister Suwit Khunkitti yesterday said he would also ask Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Sok An to wait for the court's ruling before moving forward with the management plan.
Mr Suwit is scheduled to meet Sok An on Wednesday in France in preparation for a World Heritage Committee (WHC) meeting on June 19-29.
Thailand will stand firm on its position that the management plan must not be on the WHC's agenda as long as the border dispute between the two nations has not been resolved, Mr Suwit said.
The WHC has already put the Preah Vihear management plan on the agenda, but Mr Suwit said he believed it would be dropped. "I would like Cambodia to wait for the court's clarification on its 1962 verdict and for the Joint Border Commission to complete border demarcation work. Otherwise, problems will escalate, which is not good for both countries," Mr Suwit said.

What is wrong with A Thai? What is Khmer to do with Khmer temple, is just has nothing to with A Thai! Cambodian government should just go a head and develop this area so that our people can be proude of, and the world population at large can enjoy the universal value of the temple.
Who disrespect our Great Khmer Ancestor and Prasat Preah Vihear will die very soon by lightning, car accident, bombs and of course by hearth attack.
In this case Mr. Abhisith will be the first, who will kill by lightning.
It's irrelevant. The temple is not the issue at the International Court , the issue is the 4.6km square of land near the temple. World Heritage Committee is to take care the temple, they can go ahead with it and the 4.6 thing is not part of the World Heritage Committee.
The Thailand is so childish. Grow up and get a life!!!

Mr. Hun Sen try to build a bridge between Khmer in Cambodia and Khmer in Thailand.
Thailand know exactly of the future problem. Therefore Thailand tried to do all possibilities to separate us Khmer from each other. But soon or later Thailand can't avoid the problem of the Khmer nationalist in Thailand.
Seven centuries years ago, Siam took Ayutthya from Khmer empire;
Siam continued to invade Cambodia.
Last few hundred years Thai took
Trat(Khmer called Trach, West of Pailin),along Khmer border through Northeast of Thailand
by force(Surin,Sisaket,Buriram).
Last century Thai continued to take
Khmer sea water,Preah Vihear,and
4.6 square land surrounding this
temple.Will Thai stop to invade
Cambodia? NO! NO! NO!
Vietnam took Roung Damrei province
as a gift from Chey Chetha II,in
1683 and in 1949 Vietnam took the
whole Khmer Krom.Now Vietnam govt
is continuing to bring 6,000,000
Vietnamese immigrants to live in
Cambodia.Today Cambodia becomes a
province of Vietnam,including Lao.
So,both Thai and Vietnam are Khmer
enemies and they want to wipe Khmer
out of the world map as Champa.
Please be a clever khmers not a useless like loke Hun Sen one,look up to Israel what they are doing?(What I got it from one of my French professor in 1971)Israelis are very responsible and together ,Israel is located in the bad form of the landscape that why those Israelis surrounding by evils neighbors country but Israel are stand firm and strong.
The 4.6km not a real topic but just pretext,the real problems is loke Hun Sen him self while khmers people got the magic shield granted from Paris Peace Accord in 1993 Treaties has STATED CLEARLY that Cambodian must be independent NOT YOUN SLAVE and not get involve with any kind of war or get involving & causing problems to it neighbors and getting help billions dollars each year from the word donation.ALL CAMBODIANS SEE CLEARLY THAT SIX MILLIONS VIET NAMESE IN CAMBODIA CREATED THE COUNTRY INSIDE THE COUNTRY ,EVERYONE KNOW THESE VIETNAMESE NATION HAVE NEVER HAD THEIR OWN COUNTRY BUT STOLEN COUNTRIES MADE UP TO THEIR OWN.THAI NOT THAT TOO BLIND AND STUPID, THIS NATION ARE SIMILAR TO THE VIET THEY HAD NOTHING FROM THE START BUT THEY ARE PRESERVE WHAT THEY HAD UNLIKE OUR KHMERS PEOPLE.
THEY LET HUN SEN DEEP IN BREACHING TREATIES,AND THAI USE THAT PRETEXT TO TAKE4.5KM AS STARTING BUT IF HUN SEN GO TO INTERNATIONAL COURT ,HUN SEN(KHMERS)DEEP IN SHIT? THIS IS WHAT MY OBSERVATION,and all Cambodian people reconsider what is causing problems to make our khmers living in miserableness for now a day.
