The ECCC, also known as the KR Tribunal, opened its preliminary hearing on Case 002 on 27 June.
The case involves 4 top former leaders of the KR regime: Khieu Samphan, the former president of the Democratic Kampuchea (DK) regime, Nuon Chea, the former speaker of the National Assembly, Ieng Sary, the former minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ieng Thirith, the former minister of social affairs of the DK regime. The hearing was also attended by the defendants’ lawyers.
Following the opening of the hearing, Son Arun, Nuon Chea’s defense lawyer, raised the request made by Nuon Chea to wear his hat to protect himself from the chill in the hearing chamber, and he also asked to wear his sunglasses to protect himself from light in the hearing chamber.
Soon after, Nuon Chea asked to provide his opinion, saying that he is not pleased with this hearing and asked to leave the hearing chamber to return back to his cell. The hearing judge agreed and authorized Nuon Chea’s requests.
At 11AM, following the first break, Ieng Thirith, through the defense lawyer, also asked to leave the hearing chamber.
The KRT’s preliminary hearing is planned to take place during 4 days: between 27 and 30 June. The preliminary hearing will include discussion on the topics without discussing the various causes. On the first day, there was special discussion on objection to double jeopardy, objection of pardon and forgiveness.

You said, you will bring PM Hun Sen to world court of justice ( such as American court, Nato court,...) due to his crimes that he have committed but when are you going to do that ?

I hope they will open a case # 3 and 4 so they can take those 4 clowns , Sihanouk , Hun Sen , Chea Sim and Heng Samrin to court too.
A former useless King is one of those who started . He got to be in court to answer those questions .
Seng Theary and Ou Virak are part of the "white establishment." They both receiving funding from the white people. They are puppets used by the whites to fool Khmer people. We're are the suckers! It's all about the money!
