WAM ABU DHABI: Minister of Foreign Trade Sheikha Lubna Al-Qassimi and visiting Ouch Borith, Secretary of State at the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on Thursday discussed ways to promote trade, investment and tourism relations.
The two sides, at a meeting here, also discussed ways to tap investment opportunities offered by the economies of the UAE and Cambodia.
In remarks at the meeting, Sheikha Lubna expressed the UAE's interest in stronger cooperation with Cambodia noting that the UAE's vivid economy offers the potentials for expanding bilateral cooperation.
The UAE, she noted, is now a gateway for trade between the East and the West and has become the most open-up states in the region.
For his part, the Cambodian official expressed his country's interest in furthering relations and increasing trade exchange with the UAE.
He noted that rice is among Cambodia's major exports to the UAE markets.
