Brain Food for Perfect People

But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.

But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”

“No one, sir,” she said.

“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

- John (chapter 8)

Most Cambodians do not understand the meanings in the Bible and do not understand what Lord Jesus Christ teaches. They pretend to know what it means.
We all are sinners that is why we are here to pay our debts.
You are Buddhist, aren't you? Have you ever heard of Karma?

All people are sinners;no one escaped from having sin,but s/he
tried to train him/herself from
the sin.
Good deed and evil deed, they stick
together like rock.
But people should not let the sin
come into their heart in the third
times in their lives.

thank for your sharing jesus's teaching here. i like the way jesus teaches, his teaching is so realistic, meaning so myth or pretentious about it. that's the thing i noticed about the western philosophy and arts, etc, it is about the reality, not myth, legend, or other obscured character, it's just straight forward, realistic, non faking, etc... i hope we all learn something about the western philosophy, etc... not to say the eastern philosophy isn't useful, etc, it just shows that different part of the world see the world differently, that's all! i think the difference is the method or the philosophy, e.g. western way is based on the reality, whereas most eastern way were based on myths, legends, beliefs, cheating, deceitful and power and self-promotion, etc... i don't think anything is wrong with that, it's just too complicated and hard to understand!

i think eastern philosophy has its root in politics, whereas western philosophy was based on real life, real situation, real democracy, real freedom, etc... in short, western way was based on justice, whereas eastern way was based more on clinging to power, political promotion, etc, etc.... i think it could be better to blend both in based on the used of rule of law, though!

The Bible is Middle East origin not Western origin. Jesus said, "my words are life." Jesus, the person himself is the Word of God manifested in human flesh. He is God & not just a human like other religious teachers. In this context, he has the power to forgive sin.

"Neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared.

This is good news indeed!

Jesus did not come into the world to condemn the world, but the world through him may be saved.

Pharisees trap failed to spring shut.
In the law of Moses, both the man & woman when caught in adultery are to be condemn to death by stoning. But they only brought the woman. Therefore, it was in violation of the law of Moses just to condemn her. Jesus knew this & he forgave her instead. I think the Pharisees also knew that Jesus knew the Torah (law) about this matter.

We all have sin and come short of God's perfection to merit eternal life without having to accept his free gift of eternal life, therefore the only way to merit eternal if is to do what God says to do:

>>For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.<< (Romans 6:23)

>>That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.<< (Romans 10:9-13)

Jew & Greek, Greek meaning all Gentiles not just the Greeks. Gentiles are non-Israelite people.
Non Jews are called, heathen, pagan, and gentile or even as a dog.

You are clueless about western or eastern philosophy, why do you pretend to know about it?

From a tiny poor country, Cambodia, the country that has high rates of illiteracy, but why do they like to brag about what they don't know?

If you are too lazy to search about the Origin of Bible from Middle east, don't say it.
