Harvard University's JUSTICE with Michael Sandel - Episode 7

Episode 07

Part 1 – A LESSON IN LYING

Immanuel Kant believed that telling a lie, even a white lie, is a violation of one’s own dignity. Professor Sandel asks students to test Kant’s theory with this hypothetical case: if your friend were hiding inside your home, and a person intent on killing your friend came to your door and asked you where he was, would it be wrong to tell a lie? This leads to a video clip of one of the most famous, recent examples of dodging the truth: President Clinton talking about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky.

Part 2 – A DEAL IS A DEAL

Sandel introduces the modern philosopher, John Rawls, who argues that a fair set of principles would be those principles we would all agree to if we had to choose rules for our society and no one had any unfair bargaining power.

Does Vietnam involved in the killing field too?

Do the American Bombs before Khmer Roug involved with killed Cambodian people too ? If it does, How many victims of USA bombs ?

Have over 1.7 millions Cambodian people been killed by Khmer Rough alone ? Or over 1.7 millions people were killed by USA bombs + Vietnam + KR ? If it does involved each parties. How many each parties must be responsible for hunman right violation in the crimes against humanity?

Are USA and Vietnam try to blame on the Khmer Roug alone or what ?

Justice must be served!

The true must be told or reveal!

In the name of human right, the true must not be hidden!

Let’s find out the real true behind the killing field.” Are nearly two millions innocent Cambodia only murdered by Khmer Rouge alone? Or Khmer Rouge + Vietnam + American bombs = over 1.7 millions innocent Cambodian people death?”

The grassroots of the Khmer Rouge existent and the Killing Fields in Cambodia are the Vietcong and the US-Amy.

Without the fighting between Vietcong and the US army in Vietnam, Cambodia sure able to live in peace and freedom until today and the Khmer Rouge was not able to survive during 1970 and 1975.

Who is the main cause of Khmer
civil war? I said,"Who is,but not
are".
Was Lon Nol fault or Sihanouk fault?
After Lon Nol made a coup d'État,
Sihanouk went Beijing.
Why did Lon Nol make a coup?
Sihanouk let Vietcong use deep
inside Khmer Land to rescue Viet-
cong and so they could fight with South Vietnam(called Ho Chi Minh
Trail in 1960).
Sihanouk asked Vietcong to invade
Cambodia in 1970(after his fall).
It was Sihanouk fault, not Lon Nol
fault.
