Don't say "Coup d'etate" please say "The Killing Field at 1997" That is exactly what had happened at 1997.

Honest question cecause I love Khmer. Mr. Sam Rainsy when will you allow Mrs Sochua to lead our wonderful party? You can always help from ouside for now but when thing are getting better you can jump back in and together start to fight with youn puppet don't you agree with that idea? I think you should if you love our Khmer nation not your own power. Hope you think 100 times and agree.

If someone hates anyone because
s/he hates him/herself.
When s/he gets older,s/he will get
remorse what s/he has done in his/her life.

The coup d'État is not a democracy;
it is a hungry power;it is a reign
of terror or absolute power.
This guy is one of Hun Sen dog.

2:51 pm,

what you are saying that"Sm Rainsy is the foundamental of demcracy in Cambodia today."...and "Cambodia can't be without Mr Sam Rainsy." ...I think that you give too much credite to Mr. Rainsy, are you very sure that Mr. Rainsy is not klaptocracy? First, Look at his work at Ministry of Finance, his relative work every level at the ministry! 2. Secondly, his party has participate 3 times in the national election, but never won more than 3 of the Assembly sits. Third, his party is not willing to united with other democratic parties (this is his weakness). While Mr. Hun Sen, he is the most power hunger of all, but in order to meet the 50 plus one, he is willing to compromise (of course to get his altimate of absolute power -- he is able to use those politicient that are power and money hungry to be his supporter).

So if you say Khmer cannot achieve Democracy without Mr. Rainsy, I will bake the differ! I will say that the way the opposition opperate at the current path, Khmer will never get out of Mr. Sen's rule!!

Sam Rainsy is not a perfect human
being,but much better than Hun
Sen who is staying in power for
32 years.The more person hangs
on,the more he becomes a absolute
power.Now he is a dictator and
Vietnam slave.He is a land grabber;
He is a man killer;he is an injustice man.He is an evil man
in Khmer history.
Khmer people and people of the knew who is .
The wind of change will come to
Cambodia.Now this wind is coming
to Malaysia.
Today Hun Sen is glad,tomorrow he
will be dead.Khmer citizens will
put him to death or jail him.
If this Hun Sen would lose election and make a coup d'État
again,Khmer people will have a large protest,and the world court
in Hague will take him there.

11:04 pm,

I am strongly agreed with you. You are well put it. I am too hope the fire of democracy will blow to Cambodia sooner than later! As I Know that there are many young Khmer generation are very brave and determind that want to make their country become democracy...but currently, they are in need who can lead them. But for sure, it is not Mr. Rainsy, he lost his crenability and respect from majority! Of course Mr. Rainsy is good, but not good enough to lead. As of now, I haven't seen anybody yet. I hope that th youngeration will step up and liberate Khmer Nationation from Mr. Sen.

what some people do not understand is that in order for coup attempt to be effective, you have to have a strong military backing. sam rainsy and company has no strong military tie or any type of military support in cambodian gov't, so that's why they are only good as activists, nothing more, you know!

yes, you have to have the support of the military like in thailand or you're not going anywhere with anything, really! the military is like a police force, they make sure to support whoever is in their best national interest, that's kindna what we see in thailand, you the pad nationalists, e,g, the followers of bumibol or the royal family, then you have the military in the middle, then the majority, ordinary siem people at opposite side of the pad nationalists, etc. you see, it's sort of like thailand form of gov't, the three level of organizations. as for sam rainsy and company, they have no cambodian armed forces or military backing them up, so in a way, they are just political activists, nothing more than that, you know! anyway, this is my own analysis of cambodia and thailand...

i think the military backing or supporting is important if you were to be effective. otherwise, you are no more than just a political acitivist. the difference is hun sen and his political party has the backing or the support of the khmer military, sam rainsy is none and just as corruption is not more, you know! i think if sam rainsy were to win, he will be so corrupted up to his eyeballs, then run away to hide overseas again like ranaridh, the coward and the ineffective and corrupted as well. so, i think hun sen did a better job in cambodia because partly due to his staying put in cambodia, not running away and hide overseas like sam rainsy and rannaridh, etc, you now; that's the difference between being smart, clever, and not running away. hey, khmer people not as stupid as you think we are, ok!
