A Kampuchean delegation visited New Zealand and stayed at a posh five star hotel. A relative of one of the delegates living in New Zealand went to see him. Upon arriving at the hotel, she asked the receptionist to check for her relative who was a client there.
The Hotel receptionist tried very hard to find the name of her relative. In desperation, the receptionist told the Cambodian woman: "I couldn't find your relative, Madam. Even though we have a long list of Cambodian visitors staying in our Hotel, all of them have the same surname, the HE*! "

*HE = His Excellency. Honorific commonly used by Cambodian VIPs to inflate their rank.

The " HE" originally derives from "Ape" looks at their teeth and faces are similar to Ape currently living in Cambodia. By the way, the its leader has only one eye. We call a one-eye ape among all.

There is no question about it. About 1/5 of Cambodian civil masters (we use the term servants in the West)have HE title. Even a commentator from Bayon TV by the name of Chum Kosal also has HE title too because he is Hun Sen's advisor, one of many thousands. Welcome to the Kingdom of Wonder! I wonder how many other countries in the world that have so many HEs, PHDs body guards for the PM? Enough, right?....

In the developing world, H.E. or S.E. is used to address State Minister or Ambassadoe and not Secretary of State. The honorific individual could not address him/herself HE or SE. Well. this is a unique Khmer protocol.

One of KI-Media member who has his name in Facebook as Khmer Sovannaphumi but his real name is Pang Sokhoeun, former political asylum and now living in Sweden. He always copies news from here to post in his facebook profile to promote himself, but right now, he tries to removed and blocked anyone who dares to reveal his con activity particular he tries to hide what he has cheated his wife (Sreypov Chea) by having a girlfriend (Sokunthear Sam) behind his wife back. Now, his girlfriend had ran way from him after she knew his cheating.
A con man Pang Sokhoeun as well as KI-Media like to insult to the government officers who have affairs, but himself does even worse than other people. What a shame!
