You should not discuss about someone personal issue here, who care.

Ki Media staff has copied news from Radio Free Asia and Koh Santepheap newspaper as well news from other sources.

You should not concern about anybody's business, you should concern yourself. Am I clear?

America has all sorts of products and foods produced outside its border and it also allows foreign products to be sold on its land in competition with locally made ones and this explains very well the concepts of economics and trades between countries in the world. Free trades are good for everyone involved.

Competition is the key and drive to economic development and its prosperity.

Cambodia does produce lots of things such as clothes and others which are exported to other countries, one of them is the United States of America.

Should we say "American market, Cambodian garments" then?

Lack of land for the poor is certainly and clearly a big problem to be addressed immediately by the government, but the change of attitude, willingness and desire to improve oneself economically and materially on the part of Cambodian farmer or peasant is also the important ingredients to address this scenario with success certainly guaranteed if the government can provide a clear vision and control of corruption.

Take note that one problem associated with any Cambodian administrations I have known so far is that officials are hardly selected based on education, ability, the desire to serve the nation and long-term vision or any vision for the country, but rather on an association with the party or those in power, bribe, cronyism, and nepotism.

Economic practicality also drives the desire to prefer jobs in the factory and life in a city rather than facing a hardship and uncertainty in the countryside of Cambodia with so little infrastructure to support a reasonable life in our modern day.

To encourage people to move back to the countryside, the government must have a plan to provide, first of all, land to be cultivated, reasonable infrastructure such as roads, schools and small clinics to say the least, starting income and emergency budgets to deal with farmers who can lose productivity or crops due to whatever reason.

To implement this plan successfully would require determined and serious control on corruption and real education for a number of so-called educated Cambodians who are now working for the government.

You can't blame the government totally for the influx of Vietnamese vegetables which are desired by the consumers who need them. A gap has to be filled and as far as most consumers are concerned, it does not matter who fills the gap!

Garments made in Cambodia also fill the shelves of many clothing stores in many countries. They are successful, as far as sale is concerned, because of reasonably good quality and prices.

Open competition is the key to driving out the best in the workers and society.

Closed or restriced border to prevent competition will be a disaster beyond comprehension for Cambodia and her people in the long run as we will never learn to compete and believe in ourselves that we can challenge our neighbours.

To be so patriotic to the point that you won't eat anything from Vietnam is foolish. Like it or not Vietnam will always be our much stronger neighbours and keep watch of our move. Any government in Cambodia will not survive if it chooses to be so hostile to Vietnam. Vietnam can always interfere with Cambodian internal affairs by easily finding and providing for Cambodians to work for her interests and thus causing instability again.

Unity is a very scarce commodity in Cambodia, which is certainly very unfortunate!

If 2:44 AM is piece of shit then you are also piece of shit.

6:52 AM and 2:44 AM,

Well, show us your arguments rather than using rude words.

Let hear how smart you are in solving the problems.

Come on, take the challenge and tell me how you are going to stop it.

Make sure you tell your relatives in Cambodia not to buy those vegetables and grow their own!

6:52 AM,

With your mentality your Khmer race will not be able to compete with the Vietnamese and Thais at all. The only things you are good at is cursing.

Keep cursing and I hope you are not on welfare in the US!

If you are, you had better start working so the Khmers don't look bad or come back here to Cambodia and I will give a job in charge of growing vegetables.

Someone, who sent this poem should learn to know the reality.
Cambodia is still in construction. The country producer were not able to deliver all things, we needed for our daily life.

Hi Everyone,

One of KI-Media member who has his name in Facebook as Khmer Sovannaphumi but his real name is Pang Sokhoeun, former political asylum and now living in Sweden. He always copies news from here to post in his facebook profile to promote himself, but right now, he tries to remove and blocked anyone who dares to reveal his con activity particular he tries to hide what he has cheated his wife (Sreypov Chea) by having a girlfriend (Sokunthear Sam) behind his wife back. Now, his girlfriend had run way from him after she knew his cheating.

A con man Pang Sokhoeun as well as KI-Media like to insult to the government officers who have affairs, but himself does even worse than other people. What a shame!

When one person had posted in KI-Media and accused that a con man Pang Sokhoeun is a brother of Som Ek (former Chief of Tiger's head sign guerilla, who was arrested and put in prison by Cambodian government) during that time, a cheater Pang Sokhoeun came to deny in his blogs immediately and had pointed the blame to Mr. Sourn Serey Rotha, but this time, he has bury his head in the sand because he cannot deny the truth that he has cheated his wife. Right now, all he can do is removed and blocked anyone who dared to reveal his cheating.

May be you have to go back to school. Like you said, in a market economy competition is the key but
it's got to be fair competition.
Like any people in the worl, Khmers
cannot compete with their hands
tied behind their back.
