Stung Sanker and more ... by Auguste Pavie 1881

Here is the testament (photo) to the sacredness of the poetic Stung Sangker by Auguste Pavie in 1881. The photo was somewhere near Bakprea Prektrap. Look at the angel with the krama wrapped down through to her chest closely, a traditional fashion at the time.

Auguste Pavie, the barefoot explorer:

Phnom Penh circa the beginning of the 20th century when forced evictions where unknown (Auguste Pavie)
King Norodom (Auguste Pavie)
King Sisowath (Auguste Pavie)

Hi Everyone,

One of KI-Media member who has his name in Facebook as Khmer Sovannaphumi but his real name is Pang Sokheoun, former political asylum and now living in Sweden. He always copies news from here to post in his facebook profile to promote himself, but right now, he tries to removed and blocked anyone who dares to reveal his con activity particular he tries to hide what he has cheated his wife (Sreypov Chea) by having a girlfriend (Sokunthear Som) behind his wife back. Now, his girlfriend had ran way from him after she knew his cheating.

A con man Pang Sokhoeun as well as KI-Media like to insult to the government officers who have affairs, but himself does even worse than other people. What a shame!

Pang Sokheoun tries to hide this news from the public by blocked those people and inventing the story that they lost argument with him. If you dare to say this in his profile, you will be blocked too.

600PM,

Please take your petty fight to another forum.

Or if you care so much about this matter, buy and advert in your local newspaper and inform everyone of this "danger".

Hey guys,
Thai princess just died and she and King Sihanouk are third cousin. Will Khmer royal family members attend their cousin Thai princess funeral?

The 1st photo was taken by Auguste Pavie in 1881.
So why did the woman on the left still have a bare chest in that year?
Or was it because Stung Sangker was still part of Siam?

Up to earlier 20th century, half naked/chest-opened was a traditional fashion of Khmer ladies. Look at Prasad/temples's carvings. Do you see any fully clothed ladies. ? I like the traditional fashion to come back.

6:00pm,

Spreading rumors is women's job.

A man should talk like a man, if you' re one.

Khmer,Lao,Thai farmers left their
upper body part nudes,after they
had husbands or first child born.
This was my generation;I was born in
1938.
It was true;they walked bare foots.

C'était vrai.Ils/elles marchaient aux pieds nus.

The king Norodom and king Sisowath
family lines were/are against each
other because of succeeding the
throne.But both of them were
brothers.They were/are jealous
whose family line would be throned
as king of Cambodia.
Khmer people should wipe out the
monarchy.King families are Khmer
bloodsuckers and Khmer killers.

well, back during the dark ages era, i noted there weren't much to the rule of law, etc then, so the royal family often fought with each other for the throne. well, nowadays, it's different because there are rule of law, etc... understand the difference between then and now, ok! don't be stupid forever, ok!

also back in the dark ages, all over the world for that matter, there werre capital punishment like beheading, burn on stakes, scarlet letters, etc, etc... thank god that was history already, you know!
