Kieng Vang and his wife, who are both high-ranking Funcinpec party members, have resigned from the party last week because he is joining another party. Keo Puth Rasmey, Funcinpec president, declared that he ended the pair’s duties at Funcinpec on 10 September. Keo Puth Rasmey did not say which party Kieng Vang will be joining, however, a source close to the CPP indicated that Kieng Vang joined the CPP.

Now you can see clearly that a lot of these so-called cambodian politicians are not in politics for any principles they believe in, but rather for their own selves.

It does not look like there are even a few in country who are in politics for the country and her people with clear vision for Cambodia's future.
How could you possibly join the CPP if you intend to work for Cambodia and her people? These 2 individuals wouldn't be good politicians anyway as there have been in FUNCINPEC not for their country, but again for themselves.
As far as Cambodian politicians are concerned, I am getting to be quite cynical about their motives in politics.
Normally people go into business to make money and into politics to build a nation and thus even lose some of their money, but these guys go into politics to make money!

How can they will stay with FUNCINPEC because its leaders who are "AH Niey" in Khmer word. And it FUNCINPEC itself it has a lot of groups "Trey Niet Chleth Pong". Such party can never quides the country at all.
The founders of FUNCINPEC was/is slave Viet in the past and the present why FUNCINPEC party don't slave Viet too? FUNCINPEC used to have 15000 soldiers but now nothings, FUNCINPEC has destroyed its confidence in Khmer people loving Sdech. But it is over now. Why? its leade is so weak, no political goal concept.

smart people usually see changes is inevitable and embrace such. i think the era of struggling in cambodia is over. cambodia now experiences unprecedented economic growth, political reforms, judicial reforms, education reforms, thinking shift, learning shift, etc, etc... i am glad to see khmer people from all walks of life finally woke up and smell the coffee and see the bigger world out there. yes, let's not forget there are more to cambodia than you and i, really! god bless cambodia and all our beautiful khmer people and citizens.
as for political activists, that's their job, it is ok to have activists of all sorts in our country as it creates jobs and make people think and society better, etc, you know! however, mutual respect is the key to social skills and getting along. of course, agree to disagree. a human being, we all are individual, despite blood related, or what have you, ok! embrace god for teach us all to reconcile and forgive each other and life actual goes on, believe it or not, really!

It is better to do nothing if you can't do good things and it is horrible to join a bunch of people who destroy the country in the name of doing something.
Are they really doing something for Cambodia or for themselves?
The one the right is Vietnamese and the one on the left is Cambodian.

His government builds bridges, roads, schools..

USa made a very big mistake by not finishing off the work in VietNam war. Vietcong has turned into a big aggressive monster.
Now, the USa is inviting the vietcong to play in its backyard...or should i say, shipyard. So disappointing!!!
Yet, justice in Cambodia appears to be delayed in definitely. So disappointing!!!
I love America and owe America and American people countless gratitude for what freedom and liberty it has given me and my families.
I still believe that America ultimately will do the right things for Cambodia and help finding peace, freedom for Cambodia and her people who still victims under the CPP/Vietcong dictatorship regime.

America has no history of doing what you are hoping to happen in Cambodia.
You live with the Americans on a daily basis and should realize how American politics are played.
Look at Iraq and see how peaceful it is right now!
Come on, don't be so naive.
Politics are about the interests of a country and for that reason don't expect principles and justice if they go counter the American interests.
If you are in school, you should ask your teachers what they think and you will get some answers to your disappointment.
