SRP has annouced that "A term limit for any future Prime Minister who would not be allowed to stay in office for more than five years (one parliamentary term only)" is just bullshit. Prior to last election in 2008, SRP had contracted that all SRP MPs except, Sam Rainsy, Yim Sovan and Son Chhay will hand over their Parliamentary seats to other candidates in the mid-term, but when the time came, SRP didn't honour its contract at all. So, it is just another stunt which is SRP try to lie Khmer people, aim to get popularity. Don't look what SRP says, but look what SRP does.
We always knew the goal of Sam Rainsy, but he never tells how he will achieve them, because he is only a dreamer. Everything he wants to achieve is nearly impossible.
How can you attract legitimate foreign investors if you increase wages? Foreign investors will go to China/India instead.
He wants to reject "development" conceived by the current government. Current government is developping roads and infrastructure using mostly China's, Vietnam's and Japan's cooperation. If SRP rejects them, how will be infrastructure development in Cambodia? Will investors continue to come to Cambodia without all the infrastructures built by Hun Sen government?
SRP has a good social vision. It is important that every citizen votes, men and women. (Thanks to Mu Sochua!) Sam Rainsy is for riots and popular revolts like in Arab and for criminal lawsuits that will cost billions.
However, in terms of economical development, SRP is a big FAIL.
With SRP, forget about economical and political stability!
