On the afternoon of September the 12th a press conference was held by Chonburi’s immigration department regarding illegal Cambodian beggars.
Nine men, eighteen women and twenty three Cambodian children had been rounded up after it came to light that they had entered the country illegally and after the numerous complaints about children begging across the city.
The Cambodians will now be sent back to their country and the Immigration Department at the Thai-Cambodia border have been notified to be more vigilant.

This is fucken disgrace when every fucken time the Siem thuggish leaders want their political prisoners in Cambodia free and they resorted to deporting dirt poor Cambodian beggars to show goodwill and reciprocal in kindness! Of all the beggars in Thailand only dirt poor Cambodian beggars are being target for deportation back to Cambodia!

I blamed Hun Sen and his group for mismanaged Cambodia. Yet those leaders are not ashamed to call their kingdom "the Kingdom of wonder." They ought to call their kingdom "The kingdom of beggars" instead.

It's true that every country have beggars but other countries' beggars are not as widespread as Cambodia. 30 years under Hun Sen's leadership, everywhere, every places from ordinary citizens to government are all beggars. Yet, Hun Sen's TV, radio's always address Cambodia as kingdom of wonder. What's a shame?

These beggars are disgrace for the nation. All they want is quick and easy money. If they chose to go to Thailand, they should do so to find a job, not to beg!

Our prime minister of Cambodia had done tremendous job in last 3 decades. As a matter of fact any of you see all those bridges had be constructed throughout for us neither commute nor relocate.

It's ashamed to blame on beggars while not blaming the government led by Hun Sen. With poverty is widespread couple with lack of job opportunities in Cambodia while the government ignore them completely what can those people do? In Pol Pot era, people stealed food to survive while in Hun Sen era, people beg to survive. Beggars are not disgrace the nation but Hun Sen is.
Did Hun Sen or CPP build the roads, the bridges, buildings in Cambodia? I don't think so. They are either in the form of loans or foreign assistance. They came to our aids because Hun Sen begged using the term "Khmers are traumatized by Pol Pot treatment in his 1975-79 rule" as an excuse. With widespread corruption going on in Cambodia we don't know how much of those aids go to government officials. And as soon as the projects are completed, Hun Sen will make people pay a toll to use it as it happened to National road 4 from Phnom Penh to Kampong Som.
