He wanted to make his wife happy so he wanted to kill Sun Sotha
In A bizarre turn of events in one of the most publicised cases in recent memory, tycoon Khaou Chuly was accused of masterminding a plot to kill his daughter during testimony at his wife’s Appeal Court hearing yesterday.
In February, Khaou Chuly’s wife Seng Chenda was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison for masterminding a murder plot that targeted Sun Sotha, Khaou Chuly’s daughter from a previous marriage.
Chan Sokha, a maid found guilty of attempted murder along with Seng Chenda in February, claimed yesterday during the appeal hearing that she had overheard discussions between Khaou Chuly and his son, Khaou Phalabot, about a plot to murder Sun Sotha.
Chan Sokha said Khaou Chuly created the scheme to please his wife because he felt his daughter did not respect her.
“He wanted to make his wife happy so he wanted to kill Sun Sotha,” she said.
Khaou Chuly said that the accusation was “fake”.
“She is my flesh and blood, why would I want her dead? What my maid is saying is not true.”
Sun Sotha’s brother Khaou Phalabot also dismissed the allegation as a “funny story”.
“People don’t kill their sons and daughters. That only happened during the Pol Pot regime,” he said.
During the high-profile case heard earlier this year, Sun Sotha’s husband, Sun Chanthol, was accused of framing Seng Chenda by working with authorities to physically coerce confessions from her alleged accomplices in the plot – Neang Sinath and Khorn Lak, in addition to Chan Sokha.
Sun Chanthol is the vice-chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia and a former minister of public works and transportation.
The Appeal Court is scheduled to continue hearings on October 4.

This kind of story happens everywhere around the world, just that no body cares to report or post about. Good thing that this old man didn't rape and made kids with his daughter like Fritz who kidnapped his daughter and put her in his dungeon for 24 years fathered 7 kids with his own daughter.
Some kids killed their parents because of the WILL. Some husbands killed their wives and some wives killed their husband for the WILL. Too many problems on this crazy planet.

This family is very cruel and very arrogant. I know them very..very well.
- Khow Chuly was a tycoon in PPenh since the 60's. His family lived on Samdech Pann avenue in PPenh. His family owned a nice hotel on Samdech Pann avenue #12 (Derriere Palais Royal). Khow Chuly has 2 sexy daughters that went to Lycee Descart in PPenh. The family was very arrogant and very cruel since then. One time I saw by my own eye that Khow Chuly kicked our poor khmer (cyclo pousse) that parked at the corner of hus hotel. Khow Chuly drove his car to our poor guy and kicked him very hard. No one can help. Because he was very rich and powerful. His daughters drove the sport cars.
- Also I know Sun Chanthol very well. He was graduated from American University in Washington DC with a bachelor degree. I was a very corruoted man since he was with Funcinpec. At that time he was CEO of the business council in PPenh in 1993. At that time all the foreign investor came to Cambodia have to pass throught his office. Then he was the one the squeezed the monies from all those investor, Korean, Tawaneses, Thai etc....
At the AU (american University )he was very arrogant. His classmate were the childrens of Mr Thoun Ouk, Mr Oung Hiem etc... They were the rich kids in the block in DC.
In brief, this familyKhow Chuly or Sun Chanthol are very bad. They derserve to go to jail since 1993 abd bofore.

Allow the story to play itself out before passing a judgement. Law of Karma shall dictates, ultimately, their fate. Lastly, can't take it with us, what wealth we accumulated here on earth.
