Phnom Penh – During the special meeting of the Council of Ministers presided by Hun Xen and held at 3PM on Thursday 13 October 2011 to discuss the evaluation of the effect of the flooding and the measures, it was decided that the boat race festival celebration will not be observed this year.
During the meeting, Hun Xen said that because the country is currently facing flooding, the government has decided that the boat racing festival which is planned for 10-11 November 2011 will be delayed to next year.
Hun Xen claimed that the government is spending over 10 million riels ($2,500) for each racing boat, therefore, the government is using that fund to help the flooding instead. However, the authority could organize the boat festival along each province based on their ability.

Crazy Hun Sen is doing everything to erase his own people and country from the World Map. It is not a lot of money compare to CPP's members salary.
Which ever way he is doing, I always have something to say, even if it is stupid as this one. I do not care about my credibility. I feel good each time I am crying wolf!
Why don't let the boat looking for their own sponsor? It good for tourist industry! Stupid PhD from Hanoi!
The boat race doesn't take precedent over a major crisis, in this case - a whole lot of cities & towns submerged under water from bountiful rain fall.
Why don't they use this boat race event to raise money to restore lives that had been affected instead of wasting it for a seasonal pleasure?

THE FLOODING AND/OR THE LACK OF FUND ARE NOT THE REAL REASONS FOR HUN SEN TO CANCEL THIS YEAR'S WATER FESTIVAL ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT KHMER CULTURAL EVENT. IT'S NOT JUST A BOAT RACE IT'S A TRADITION SO DEEP IN OUR EXISTENCE.

THE POSSIBLE REASONS FOR THIS CANCELATION COULD BE TRANSLATED AS FOLLOWS:
- DESTRUCTION OF KHMER CULTURE OR KHMER NATION ( A SMALL STEP OF VIETNAMIZATION? ).
- HUN SEN IS SCARE OF KOH PICH GHOSTS WHO MAY COME AND PUNISH HIM.
- HUN SEN IS SCARE OF SOME KIND OF
UNCONTROLLABLE MANIFESTATION FROM WORKERS.
- HUN SEN IS SCARE OF SOME KIND OF
POPULAR REVOLUTION.
ANY SPARK CAN IGNITE A BIG FIRE.

Hun Sen is scaring Khmer people
during the bot race festival celebration,Khmer people can use this time to protest.

So Hun Sen will be afraid of Khmer
people during boat racing celebration.
Hun Sen is scared of death. During the Soccer match between Hun Sen and the Siem, he had bomb squads checking for bombs and a team of bodyguards both from the Siem and from Khmer.
At the Boat festival, there are not enough bomb squads or bodyguards to protect the bullet to his head.
Hun Sen will die because of bad karma!
