cambodia ought to become the next food processing country. take fish for example, dried fish, fish jerky, beef jerky, fruit jerky, etc; make sure to train the business people to practice sterile technique when handling food and practice hygiene as well. that's how you attract customers for your products. also, use proper labeling for international export and local consumption, etc. local khmer businesses still have a lot to learn in proper, hygienic food handling, safe-keeping, packaging, etc, etc... cambodia is rich in food supplies, etc, but the people need to learn how to properly handling or making food products, etc... i think the reason is that many people still live in survival mode, a legacy of the stupid KR regime; however, i'm optimistic that cambodia will train and educate its people to properly handle food products, etc... start with supplying the many hotels and tourist industry in cambodia first before thinking about export. cambodia should supply foods such as vegetables, meats, poutry, fish, etc to all the hotels and other tourist services out there, this way we don't have to import produce, etc from neighboring countries to meet the demands of hotels in cambodia and other food services and service industries in cambodia.
this is also create lots of jobs for khmer people too! think smart and do learn about how others all over the world do this and bring their innovation and education to cambodia so khmer people can do the same in cambodia. god bless cambodia businesses.

Thanks for your intelligent inputs, I to agree that our country should be the next food processing country. We should be as capable as our neighboring countries.
Our country have the potential to take over the Asia market, even in resources. The rice production, we can produce as much as they can. The logging industry, we have enough tree to sustain the country, even more recently discoveries of oil fields and rare minerals.
But the problems lies in laws and corruption, Hun Sen. Last 30 years, our country has gone backward, law is only for the rich and corruption is at its highest. Every resources, land and water that the country owns, goes to Hun Sen families and officials. Laws and constitutions should be used to protect the interest of the public instead its used to protect the outlaws.
With the new government, we will see much prosperity and growth in both economic and social structure, lives will be improved, and Cambodia will no longer be the backbone as one of the poorest country and most corrupted country in the world.
With the new young generation who are now smarter and have more direction, we can now look forward to working and giving something back to our beloved country. Only once, Hun Sen dies, then we can help the country with our fullest potential.
