Prime Minister Hun Sen thanked Vietnam for helping Cambodia escape from the Khmer Rouge genocidal regime while receiving President of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association Vu Mao in Phnom Penh on Tuesday.
PM Hun Sen added that the liberation revitalised Cambodian people and at present, Vietnam continues helping Cambodia in national construction and development.
PM Hun Sen said that Cambodia and Vietnam are continuing to strengthen cooperation in order to boost friendship and development of the two countries. He praised the effective contributions made by friendship associations of the two countries to the expansion of bilateral relations.
Vu Mao is leading a delegation of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association on a visit to Cambodia from Nov. 20-26 at the invitation of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association.
While in Cambodia , the Vietnamese guests were received by Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Say Chhum, and Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association Men Samon.
The delegation is scheduled to have a working session with the Cambodian Development Council.

i wonder why the entire world stood by and watch while cambodia and khmer people were suffering under the KR regime.
only vietnam or youn had the interest then as they want to colonize or annex cambodia during cambodia's lowest point in our history like the destruction of cambodia. vietnam had an interest in cambodia because they tasted the blood before of khmer krom and koh tral, etc, so they want more of cambodia, that's why they did something while the rest of the world stood by and watched and did nothing to stop the KR brutality, etc...

Millions of illegal and legal Vietnamese have been residing inside Cambodia, causing extreme concerns amongst Khmer people about the prospect that Cambodia may be the second Kampuchea Krom.
The killings during the Pol Pot's era were committed by the Khmer rouge, the Khmer Vietminh, etc.
Notice that Khmer Vietminh were created by Vietnam to make Khmers fight with Khmers, to make Khmers kill each others.
How about the K5, which killed hundreds of thousands of Khmer people in the 80's? This K5 scheme was totally orchestrated by Vietnam.
We need to take Vietnam to the international court about this K5 issue regarding Vietnam’s catastrophic action in Cambodia.
If it is true that the viet assisted khmer in stopping the KR genocidal regime, then why the killing of innocent people contiued during the 1980s under the k5 plan? So the assertion that the viet came to help khmer is absolutely false; I say again: the notion that the viet had a good intention to save khmer life when they invaded cambodia at the end of 1979 is absolutely misleading. Moreover, the viet never wanted to withdraw from cambodia and only after they got defeated that they withdrew from cambodia.
i think the reality is that most khmer people do not and cannot trust youn, period! cambodia and khmer people have good reason to, just look at khmer krom land, koh tral, etc... all youn stole from cambodia and khmer people! the same with siem to the west and laos to the north, they all stole from cambodia our khmer lands...

first of all i would like to appologize to ki-media for using the site to let people know Khmer Sovannaphumi- known as Pang Sokheoun, n his mistress Sokunthear Som have been reported to FBI agent n FB's adminstration for stealing n posting someone pic in their wall without the owner consent to defame them..further more they both wrongly accused that same person of created his Pang Sokheoun id, they both have been cursed, n will be brought to justice..i have been in contact with Cambodian Goverment to make sure both of them will not be able to enter cambodia without arrest for their cyber crime....i hope to see their dirty bastard asses soon in court..

Well… Even after 30 years of the Vietcong help and the Vietcong still continue to help Cambodia and that in itself is so strange but in reality the Vietcong help Cambodia in order to help themselves and they are helping AH HUN SEN Vietcong slave puppet government too. And they are feeding off Cambodian natural resources and encourage their population to compete against Cambodian population and that is why Cambodia is still the same dirt poor country!
The Vietcong help are not welcome in Cambodia because their help only make Cambodia into a weaker country! Cambodian leaders need to stand on their own two feet and see the world that is right for Cambodia and Cambodian people and charge new course for the future without interferences from outsider!
