Synopsis: In general, today’s youths in Cambodia do not pay much attention to social problems, nor do they get involved in solving these problems. However, they pay more attention to their personal pleasure. For example, when the community is facing the current flooding woes, there is not much youth action or participation to resolve this problem. Quite to the contrary, when there are concerts, music or star competitions, these youths are showing a lot participation in these types of activities. Is this the behavior of today’s youth?
Not only do these youths not help out during major disasters, even when the country is in armed conflict with a neighboring country, they consider this as not part of their problems. When it comes to technology, they are very active in getting involved in the Internet or Iphone connections, or even through social websites such as Facebook, but they do not use these technologies for their education at all, they use them just to show off that they are modern while they immerse themselves in various useless personal pleasures. All of this points out to the fact that these youths have no intention of becoming learned intellectuals in the future, but that they are only proud of becoming a movie star or a famous singer instead. As long as the youth’s mind is floating like flotsam and jetsam at seas, it is very easy for them to follow the direction set by the wind. To those who are involved in setting the direction of the society, they should pay great attention and urgently review today’s youth mentality.
យុវវ័យខ្មែរបច្ចុប្បន្នត្រូវគេសង្កេតឃើញជាទូទៅថា មិនសូវចាប់អារម្មណ៍នឹងបញ្ហាសង្គមហើយចូលរួមក្នុងការដោះស្រាយ បញ្ហាទេ តែពួកគេបែរជាចាប់អារម្មណ៍នឹងការសប្បាយផ្ទាល់ខ្លួនច្រើនជាង។ នៅពេលដែលសង្គមជួបបញ្ហាដូចជាគ្រោះទឹកជំនន់នាពេលបច្ចុប្បន្ន ជាដើម គេមិនសូវបានឃើញសកម្មភាពរបស់យុវវ័យស្រករក្រោយក្នុងការចូលរួម ជួយដោះស្រាយបញ្ហាឡើយ ផ្ទុយទៅវិញ យុវវ័យបានបង្ហាញភាពសកម្មរបស់ខ្លួនយ៉ាងខ្លាំងនៅពេលមានការប្រគំ តន្ត្រី ការប្រឡងចម្រៀង ឬប្រឡងជ្រើសរើសតារាជាដើម។
តើអ្វីទៅជាអាកប្បកិរិយារបស់យុវវ័យបច្ចុប្បន្ន?
នៅពេលដែលប្រទេសជាតិជួបបញ្ហាធំៗ ដូចជាគ្រោះទឹកជំនន់ដ៏មហន្តរាយដូចពេលនេះជាដើម គេមិនបានឃើញសកម្មភាពរបស់យុវវ័យចូលរួមជួយឈឺឆ្អាលទោះដោយកម្លាំងកាយក្តីឬកម្លាំងចិត្តក្តីដើម្បីសម្រាលបញ្ហាសង្គមរបស់ខ្លួនឡើយ។ ភាពអសកម្ម និងកង្វះការផ្តួចផ្តើមគំនិតដើម្បីជាប្រយោជន៍សង្គមត្រូវគេមើលឃើញថា គឺជាគុណវិបត្តិដ៏ធំធេងរបស់យុវវ័យសម័យបច្ចុប្បន្ន។ កាលពីពេលថ្មីៗកន្លងទៅនេះ នៅពេលដែលប្រទេសជាតិមានសង្គ្រាមជាមួយប្រទេសជិតខាងអំពីបញ្ហាព្រំដែនក៏យុវវ័យស្រករក្រោយមិនចាត់ទុកជាបញ្ហារបស់ពួកគេដែរ។
ផ្ទុយទៅវិញ យុវវ័យបែរជាបង្ហាញភាពសកម្ម និងក្លាហានយ៉ាងខ្លាំងក្នុងសកម្មភាពប្រឡងជ្រើសរើសអ្នកចម្រៀង តារាសម្តែង ឬតារាទូរទស្សន៍ជាដើម។ ពួកគេទាំងស្រីទាំងប្រុសបានពពាក់ពពូនទៅដាក់ពាក្យប្រឡង ហើយបានបង្ហាញភាពក្លាហានតាមរយៈការសម្តែងនៅចំពោះមុខមហាជនបើទោះបីជាឈុតឆាកខ្លះមានសភាពស្រើបស្រាលក៏ដោយ ក៏ពួកគេអាចធ្វើបាន។
ម្យ៉ាងទៀត នៅពេលមានផ្សារទំនើបទើបបើកថ្មី បំពាក់ដោយបន្ទប់ខារ៉ាអូខេ ពួកគេនឹងពពាក់ពពូនទៅដើរកម្សាន្ត ឬចុះឈ្មោះជាសមាជិក រហូតដល់ពេលខ្លះគេចសាលាផងក៏មាន។ ក្នុងវិស័យបច្ចេកវិទ្យាវិញ យុវវ័យបច្ចុប្បន្នក៏បានបង្ហាញភាពសកម្មយ៉ាងខ្លាំងដែរក្នុងការភ្ជាប់ខ្លួនយ៉ាងរហ័សទៅនឹងប្រពន្ធ័ Internet, I phone ឬបណ្តាញសង្គម Facebook។ ប៉ុន្តែ ពួកគេមិនបានទាញយកប្រយោជន៍ពីបច្ចេកវិទ្យាទំនើបទាំងនោះមកបម្រើការសិក្សារបស់ខ្លួនឡើយ ដោយគ្រាន់តែជាការបង្ហាញពីភាពទាន់សម័យ និងភាពស្រើបស្រាលត្រេកត្រអាលក្នុងផ្លូវផ្សេងទៅវិញ។
ផ្ទុយពីនេះ យុវវ័យបានសម្តែងការរារែក និងលាក់មុខមិនសូវចូលរួមឡើយនៅពេលដែលមានកម្មវិធីប្រកួតចំណេះដឹងទូទៅនៅតាមសាលាឬក្នុងកម្មវិធីទូរទស្សន៍នានាម្តងៗ។ សិស្សសាលាឬនិស្សិតវ័យក្មេងភាគច្រើនមិនសូវបានតាមដាន ឬមិនខ្វល់ទាល់តែសោះអំពីបញ្ហាប្រទេសជាតិ ឬបញ្ហាប្រឈមរបស់សង្គម។ ប្រសិនបើពួកគេមើលទូរទស្សន៍ ពួកគេប្រាកដជាចូលចិត្តការប្រគំតន្ត្រី ឬភាពយន្តកូរ៉េ ជាងកម្មវិធីព័ត៌មាន។ ប្រសិនបើស្តាប់វិទ្យុវិញ យុវវ័យច្រើនចាប់អារម្មណ៍កម្មវិធីដោះស្រាយវិបត្តិស្នេហា ច្រើនជាងកម្មវិធីអប់រំ។ ប្រសិនបើពួកគេទៅផ្សារ គេចូលចិត្តនាំគ្នាដើរមើលម៉ូតទូរស័ព្ទ សម្លៀកបំពាក់ ឬចម្រៀងខារ៉ាអូខេទើបចេញថ្មីជាជាងសម្លឹងរកមើលសៀវភៅសម្រាប់អានដើម្បីបង្កើនចំណេះដឹងរបស់ខ្លួន។ នេះសបញ្ជាក់ឲ្យឃើញថា យុវវ័យសម័យនេះ ហាក់មិនបានបង្ហាញពីក្តីស្រមៃចង់ក្លាយជាបញ្ញវន្តដែលពោរពេញដោយចំណេះដឹង និងចំណេះធ្វើពិតប្រាកដឡើយ តែមោទនភាពរបស់ពួកគេ គឺការក្លាយខ្លួនជាតារាចម្រៀង តារាសម្តែង ឬតារាទូរទស្សន៍ច្រើនជាង។
ជាការពិតណាស់ នេះជាធម្មជាតិរបស់យុវវ័យ និងជាបញ្ហាសាកលមួយតែប៉ុណ្ណោះ ប៉ុន្តែ អ្វីដែលសំខាន់គឺការតម្រង់ទិសពួកគេពីសំណាក់គ្រួសារ សាលារៀន និងសង្គមទាំងមូល។ នៅពេលដែលយន្តការសម្រាប់តម្រង់ទិសយុវវ័យគាំងមិនដំណើរការ ឬដំណើរការមិនល្អ វាបា្រកដណាស់ថា យុវជនស្រករក្រោយនឹងគ្មានគោលដៅច្បាស់លាស់ឡើយ។
ដើម្បីយករួចខ្លួន មនុស្សមួយចំនួនបានទម្លាក់កំហុសទៅលើសាកលភាវូបនីយកម្ម។ ការទម្លាក់កំហុសលើបញ្ហានេះក៏មិនខុសដែរ ប៉ុន្តែ គេមិនត្រូវភ្លេចថាសាកលភាវូបនីយកម្មគឺជាបញ្ហាសាកលមួយដែលពិបាកទប់។ វិធីសាស្ត្រដើម្បីទប់គឺ ប្រទេសនីមួយៗត្រូវចាក់គ្រឹះធនធានមនុស្សរបស់ខ្លួនឲ្យបានរឹងមាំ។ នៅពេលដែលពលរដ្ឋ ជាពិសេសយុវវ័យ ស្គាល់អត្តសញ្ញាណខ្លួនបានច្បាស់លាស់ និងដឹងថា ខ្លួនចេញមកពីណា ហើយត្រូវធ្វើដំណើរទៅណា វប្បធម៌អាក្រក់មកពីខាងក្រៅពិបាកនឹងវាយលុកលើពួកគេបានណាស់។
ផ្ទុយទៅវិញ ប្រសិនបើយុវវ័យស្ថិតនៅក្នុងភាពវិលវល់ដូចចកកណ្តាលមហាសាគរ ពួកគេងាយណាស់នឹងងាករេតាមកម្លាំងខ្យល់បក់។ នេះជាអ្វីដែលអ្នកតម្រង់ទិសសង្គមទាំងឡាយត្រូវចាប់អារម្មណ៍និងពិនិត្យមើលឡើងវិញជាបន្ទាន់ចំពោះអាកប្បកិរិយារបស់យុវវ័យខ្មែរនាពេលបច្ចុប្បន្ន៕

This is sad but very true and very understandable. Why care for the country when the country doesn't care for you? Who needs education when education doesn't give you much opportunity? You can be the smartest and be the top of your class but if you are from a poor family, you will likely end up working in the sweat shop while the rich brainless guy can get the top job through connection without any education. That's why you see a lot of brainless people in Cambodia running the country while the smart and educated people working in the factories. People have become discouraged and rightfully so. The youths see no way out so they enjoy their lives one day at a time. They are fed up and don't care a shit about anything anymore. Is this good? Of course not, society forces them to be like that.

Education is a way for people to acquire a skill set, which inturn opens the door of opportunity for them to improve their living conditions. To think otherwise is just plain stupid.

I disagree with above comment. Youth today do care about society n living standard but they are waiting for the right time. Are we forgetting about human nature - seek pleasure n avoid pain. Concert give them pleasure, short but effective. Volunteer to help flood victim is painful, because they are young n naive. It take a mature adult to realize helping n volunteering give longer pleasure than attending concert. BTW, most of these youth are very poor n hardly cann't help themselves never mind help others.

Cambodian youth now starts having sex at early age. Some girls resort to abortion when got pregnant. Not all youth are involved in these nonproductive activities and self-indulgence. However, most of the affluent youth are very much into this kind of life style. They know that they can always buy diploma or credentials from any school as long as they have money. The poor kids have no opportunity for schooling because they need to have parents earn a living but for those who can, are not into school. i think khmer society now is so corrupt that kids now aday only know how to live life in fast pace and matertialistic needs. they do not care about morality, or compassion for their felow country folks anymore. when the government is so corrupted, people will lose trust in government and doing the same thing and why not! I used to think that khmer girls in Cambodia are nice, pure and sweet but most of them are now worse than khmer girls who are born and raise in the States. They are much more sexually active and wild than Khmer girls here in the States. some guys go to marry these sluts for their look and bring them over but to meet with disappointment and heart breaking at the end.
Sounds like youth in the U.S. Nothing wrong with that. Time has change, and we all need to adapt. We can't ride oxen cart and live the lifestyle of the past. See what happen to us when we don't adapt enough?
