Who's this young prince

With his prestigious escort, we can only deduce that this young man must have been part of the royal family
A portrait of the mysterious young man
Note the striking resemblance between the mysterious young man above and King Sisowath. Could the young man above be the young Sisowath or was he an offspring of King Sisowath?

;) This young prince was quite handsome. Re reminds me of Jayavaraman VII(7) from looking at his small slanting eyes and his big long lips. The only different he has is his nose was smaller than Jayavaraman 7 whose nose was big and falt. This young prince's longhair can be pulled up and make a bump like Bhudda hair or Jayavaraman Kings' hair. Yes he was more handsome than Sihanouk, I must say.

This youg man was ,in fact, Prince Sivotha, who had led revolt against the French in 1984. He died in the forest, sad, broke. He was in competition with his brother Prince Sisowath for the throne.

Correction: Should read 1884 - not 1984

the first picture was referred to as Prince Sisowath in David Chandler's book History of Cambodia

Both photos strikingly appeared as the persons had down sydrome due to incestuous breeding.

Most Cambodian royalties look barbarically weird and primitives.

I love to see Khmers wear Khmer outfits for cultural events. The gov't can be a start to reintroduce these original Khmer outfits back to lives. It was great and joyous to see Apsara hair styles was reintroduced during the dance for the King's birthday. I love to see it. I think it is different, beautiful and fun. Khmer Angkor had a very rich and sophisticated culture. I admire them for the depth of their civilization.

Remember: Cambodian/Khmer culture wears Kban. Sarongs were introduced/forced to wear when Thai took controlled of Khmer provinces in the Northeast.

You read the others' comments but you did not understand what this 12:50am was trying to share with every body from the history between Siem and Khmers.
It's true that our Khmer culture women/men wore Phamoung Chong-Kbeun. Battambang and Siem Reap were under Siam, Siams introduced Sarong. Sarong were by Siem and Burmese.

So why did you twist the guy's comment and you went on crazy about Siam built Angkor, etc..?

Oh man why my Khmers are so dumb and so stupid still in this 21th century?

Black and white photos cannot tell. Why don't you post your photo in here and compare with this Prince and let me judge about you look.
Usually when someone like yourself criticize others, it tells us that you are ugly or uglier than regular people.

11:38 AM - You are Thai who were originally from Southern China and were also Tai-Chinese from Nanzhao, China where the Mongol Empire armies kicked you out and tried to kill. Your Tai-Chinese folks fled to Khmer land in 12th Century. What the heck you are talking about, Brainwashed Tai-Chinese idiots (now called themselves Thai after Siam). Go back and learn the history again, dumbass and dumbbitch. You must be the stupidest and most hypocrite Tai folks in the world. You always lie, lie and lie. All Thai food were originally Khmer, Thai. You are the dumbest Tai folks trying to prove everything is Thai. You are very ugly and evil in the world. Thai is former Tai-Chinese before Siam and the land thieves from Khmer. Entire Thailand belongs to Khmer/Cambodia. Khmer people can get back everything Thai folks took. Stupid Tai idiots!

11:38 AM, Language of Thai and Vietcong are having Chinese tonal, that is why, they have tried to figure out their lost identities that there ancestors from Southern China where Mongol Empire armies invaded and destroyed.

After four hundreds of years later, these folks became better and strong in their communities in Khmer land (bordered with Southern China, Champa, Burma, Malaysia and Northern and Southern Sea. Laos is the country to which the Khmer Empire Kings gave and Laos never had fought and betrayed the Khmer Empire Kings.

There were bad Siam folks(Tai-Chinese/Current Thai) in Khmer Empire society had manipulated and secretly became Khmer and then caused a lot of the problems based on the history. That is why Thai king is thief or thieves from Khmer Empire lands.

Go back to learn and accept the reality and truth.
