Another incident of mass fainting has been reported in Cambodia's garment industry, this time at the Sportex Industry factory in Phnom Penh's Russei Keo district where around 59 workers collapsed.
The workers were taken ill after a series of false fire alarms meant they had to rush out the two-storey production complex three times. Initial investigations showed they fainted due to lack of oxygen in the factory and the rush to get out.
Cambodia's Ministry of Labour asked the factory to give the workers four days' paid leave, before resuming operations.
The Sportex Industry factory is managed by the Taiwanese-owned Sportex Industry Co Ltd, which makes sportswear for Adidas and has aroundly 1,400 workers.
In a related move, the International Labour Organisation's Better Factories Cambodia (BFC) programme is seeking funding for a campaign to prevent future fainting incidents at garment factories. It hopes to persuade workers to pay more attention to health and hygiene, as well as encourage employers to improve working conditions.

Approximately 400 000 Cambodians are living in America and even though some of them are can't speak Khmer but they are still American origin from Cambodia. They must also participate in help Cambodia such as support more democracy in Sros Khmer like USA.

The question is Can we as Cambodian origin help this come true?
That money will use to make real Khmer people voices to be heard in UN and in America goverment and the world.
Khmer oversea should have independent TV channel and Radio station in Cambodia to educate Cambodian people in Cambodia to know the true histories of Khmer.
Can we all make these come true for $1 per week only to help our khmer nation?
