None of his kids(legit or illegit)inherited a thread of his common man sense trait.

Mr.Sirik Matak was a man of his own making.

Too sad for his soul to see all of his kids are exploiters of Cambodia poors.

IF Sisovats was king instead of Nordoms, would Cambodia be different today?

Sisowath Sirik-Matak was a hero of Cambodia but Sihanouk is an enemy.

Mr. Matak decided to stay and die like a hero. Norodom they just run and hide because life was and can still be good for them as long as they beg and turn against their people.

The years 1970 - 1975 Sisovath Sirimatak, Lon Nol, Sostene Fernandest, had preached very nationalistic ideology becoming racist against immigrants-Chinese-Vietnamese-KhmerIslam.

Sisowath Sirimatak, Lon Nol, Sostene Fernandest, had
bombed, killed, burned hundreds of villages khmers, under the pretext attack Norodom Sihanouk- Khmer Rouge and the Vietcong.

The years 1975-1979 Angkar Leu-Norodom Sihanouk and the Khmer Rouge had emptied of the population of their village and killed about 3 million Cambodians under the pretext of cleaning the secret service (CIA & KGB).

Today to enrich his palace and his team, he sold the land, natural resources of gold ore, ruby, petrol, destroying the forest, hunting the people and violates their land under the pretext of developing the economy.

Even though I hate so much the royal family members especially Ah Sdach Chkuot Sihanouk, from the bottom of my heart Sirik Matak is truly a Khmer National hero.

He was a brave man and he sacrificed his life for Cambodia.

The mother of Monique and the mother of Sisowath Thomikor are sisters. Therefore, Sisowath Thomikor also has Youn blood.

strange as it may seems but to my limited knowledge Sirimatak's earlier years in khmer politics (late fifties onwards) have not been subject to the same scholarly scrutiny as, e.g. has Khieu Samphan - although one could argue that Sirikmatak has had far more influence on Cambodia's destiny than that Molloch's poodle (to borrow Heder's brilliant characterisation)

Sisowath Sirik Matak is a Khmer Hero; but the rest of Sisowath, they are really questionnable...???
One in Montreal, she try to show off abou ther royal family. When she was in Montreal, she was in welfare. She spent few years in Cambodia; after, she came back to Montreal and became a rich person. What did she do in Cambodia to bring money back to Canada?...
People in Montreal must know her.

i think it's time again for cambodia to recognize all khmer people both past and present who were well-distinguished and achieved so much to help cambodia and khmer people. they all should be recognized by our citizens, really. i hope someone will publish a recognition books for all our khmer leaders both past and present, etc... this way, all khmer students and citizens, etc can read and learn about them all, you know. yes, despite political differences, all leaders should be recognized for their famous and infamous achievement, etc... it is like recording of khmer history and noted khmer personalities, etc.

also, i think it is wrong and unjust to make comparison as in who was better than who, etc, because we have to understand that all leaders are unique personality and had distinctive achievements. so, it is wrong to try to compare them all against one another like such. remember in the past, all khmer know that the royal family members often fought among themselves, thus it was cambodia and khmer people who suffered as a result, so, it is time for all khmer to wake up and stop doing that to each other. instead, recognized every statesmen, every noted individuals, etc as they were individual in themself. that's the smart and clever and reconcileable way to unite and help rebuild our country cambodia, really. let's leave the past to history and do look more toward the happy future as a nation and people of cambodia together, ok. enough of the childish argument, quarrelling, attacking our own people, etc, ok. that's not smart of us, so stop it already, and be educated. remember we only have one cambodia and one khmer, so help our country and people take care of it, ok. just agree to accept each other differences for the sake of our country into a better future for all to enjoy, to live, to work, to do business, to visit, etc, etc... god bless cambodia and all our beautiful khmer people and citizens.

ps: we all want to see cambodia develop and reform in all fields so we can visit, anytime we can and enjoy and have pride in our beautiful country we all shared and called our country of origin, ok. nothing to be ashamed of our country, we just have to learn to work together and get along together, that's all. god bless all of us.

remember to err is human, to forgive is divine. so please help each other to do the right thing for our country. there's no such thing as too late. we can also start afresh anytime. please encourage and embrace the spirit of reconciliation in cambodia by all khmer people and citizens from all walks of life.

Homesick back in Golden Age. Miss everything when Khmer Kingdom was the rich nation in Southeast Asia. Now, it was gone because of Communist Vietcong war caused this problem and created fake Khmer Rouges (secret Yuon agen) destroyed everything in Srok Khmer and Yuon/Vietcong thieves overtook everything to Srok Yuon. Now, Khmer is poor, the world poorest country. It is very sad.

Fuck the war in Communist Viet

For most of the older generation like Prince Sirimatak have not other choice. You only have two to evaluate. One worked with the progressive people and keep the whole family together. Or you go to the communist and left the whole family alone.
We can't just say, we are not happy with this and that and run away, looking for or finding another better place to live like most of the luckily Khmer people left the country, because of the Viet occupation in Cambodia during 1970 to 80.
Pay great respect to the Prince. He did a very valuable decision, not to leave the country during this period, let the Khmer people alone into the hand of the communist regime.

What was the side in front of them? Was is the Holly Vietcong and Sihanouk backed Khmer Rouge and their perfect world? Isn’t Sosthene Catholic and half-vietnamese but Khmer in his soul? Weren’t there numerous Khmers Soldiers and Generals with Chinese and Muslim names among Sirimatak, Lon Nol, Fernandez troops? How about the numerous Khmers Police inspectors and civil servants with Vietnamese origin? Was the 70-75s regime racist?
