YLE, AFP

Seven Finns were injured in a tourist bus accident that also claimed the life of a Russian man in Cambodia on Tuesday. One of the Finns was so badly injured that he was taken to hospital in Bangkok, Thailand.

Of the 48 passengers on board the bus, 40 were foreign tourists, who were heading from Sihanoukville to the Thai border when one of the front tyres blew out and overturned.

All of the passengers were injured, some seriously, and were treated at local hospitals, according to the AFP.

Police said speed was a factor in the accident.

The driver of the bus fled the scene, according to police.

this article said a russian man is killed, the other article said the russian woman is killed, so what is it, the man or the woman? sometimes, i think the reports are dishonest, who to believe?

drivers who cause accidents or just have unfortunate accidents always run in every scence of accident in cambodia. are they afraid of what?

Never take responsibility!

Drivers fleeing after accident is the same stereotyp as the government never punished anyone after 300 dead Khmer on Koh Pich Bridge.

Never take responsibility!

No ethic, no moral, just blame Buddha and the Krama...

Cultural bankruptcy.

i can only guess the driver and a few others are lucky survivors; however, i think all drivers in cambodia should be educated by the traffic law to not run away from the accident scene like this. this is an accident, so the driver should stay and help etc, not run away and thinking they can hide. i'm sure this driver will be brought to justice once they find him by contacting the bus company that hired this person to drive the bus. drivers in cambodia must be educated never to run away and be afraid in an accident like this. stay and help if you did not injure, ok! if you run away, it is like you did something wrong. so don't run away from an accident next time. i wonder do driver take a written test to get their driver's license? i guess not!
