Asean prepares for summit in Cambodia

(Mizzima) – The 20th Asean Summit will kick off in Cambodia on April 3-4, with “hard and soft” infrastructure connectivity a major topic on the agenda.

Soeung Rathchavy, a secretary of state at Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, said Asean senior officials would prepare documents in the economic, security and socio-cultural areas.

In the economic area, they will focus on economic and infrastructure connectivity that’s necessary for integrating the free movement of goods, services, investment, skilled labor and freer flow of capital by 2015.


In security areas, officials will debate documents related to the regional Code of Conduct in the South China Sea and the protocol to the treaty on the Southeast Asian Nuclear Weapon Free Zone, and Asean Maritime Security.

In socio-cultural areas, they will discuss issues of migrant workers, drugs, climate change, education, heath, disaster management, women and children, and people with disabilities.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Burma, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Yes, there have been more than enough evidences that Ah traitor Hun Sèn is killing Khmer people left over from the Viet engineered killing Fields for the free flow of millions of illegal Viet in to Cabodia and giving up Cambodia as the land for the Viet Federation of Indochina!!!

asean consists of many member states, so all member states can help contribute to the success of asean whether it's cambodia's hosting this year meeting, etc, etc... shouldn't matter, everyone can contribute for its success, you know!
