i think they are good people, however, i think they should learn khmer and assimilate into khmer, especially if they chose to live in cambodia.
these people, although they are viet/youn in origin, they are now a part of cambodia because chose to live in cambodia. they should help cambodia to become a better nation. in the future, i think the law in cambodia will prohibit people from discrimate or be prejudice of someone who happened to be different from them, especailly their origin. these people are now a part of cambodia, and they should be educated to become aware of this fact or reality. their national origin was vietnam, but they chose to live in cambodia, thus should assimilate and become a part of cambodia, especially their children, etc... they all can contribute to make cambodia a better country in some way as the people of cambodia, i think.
i want to see all khmer citizens united to become one that love and care of cambodia in every way, despite people are from different backgrounds or origin, etc...!
stop hurting and destroying cambodia, be one and help to take care of our country cambodia, ok!

I don't know why these Viet are complaining about the hardship they face in the land that their army occupied for 10 years and they get to live for free! The very reason these Viet choose to come to Cambodia(Kampuchea) because they get everything for free! What more do they want?
For Cambodian (Khmer) they have become second class citizen in their own country and AH HUN SEN Vietcong slave regime do not hesitate to make any Cambodian (Khmer) people homeless through his land concession!
Before any of you say a word about how good the Viet and want them to assimilate and all of you are dreaming! Just take a good look at Khmer Krom(Lower delta Cambodia) after the French hand the Khmer Krom to Viet in 1949 and the Viet treated these Khmer Krom people like slave or animal!
There can never compromise between the Khmer and Viet when dealing with race and national boundary! What the Viet had done to the Khmer Krom will be applied to the Khmer Kandal(Cambodia) as well!
Just remember this! There are 30 Viet to 1 Khmer! This is the continuation of Viet population expansion into Cambodia and this is the end of the Khmer race because AH HUN SEN make it so hard to live as Khmer!
The fear is real, the fear is well found in history and documentation, and the fear of Khmer people of living under the Viet one day like the Khmer Krom is a reality thanks in part to AH HUN SEN Vietcong puppet government!
