Joel Brinkley spent 23 years as a correspondent for the New York Timesand authored the critically acclaimed Cambodia’s Curse: The Modern History of a Troubled Land. Tim Sorel is an independent filmmaker and three-time EMMY nominee. Sorel will screen his new documentary The Trap of Saving Cambodia. The plight of internally displaced Cambodians represents just one of the harrowing moments in THE TRAP OF SAVING CAMBODIA.The film examines the struggles of NGO workers as they try to help the poor while facing a resistant government that annually receives more than a billion dollars in foreign aid from a host of countries like the United States and China. 26 minutes- This film is not rated.
