Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training is recruiting candidates for 20 scholarships to study Khmer offered by the Cambodian government.
Selected candidates will be granted full tuition, one-way tickets, and accommodation by the Cambodian government; in addition to an extra stipend, travel allowances, medical insurance, and passport and visa fees awarded by the Vietnamese government.
Applicants, 45 years old or below, must be working for government agencies and commit themselves to returning to Vietnam for work after finishing their training programs, which will last two years in Cambodia.
Preference will be given to those who need Khmer as a tool for their daily work, and to government employees at agencies in provinces and cities that border Cambodia or have built a partnership with that country.
Training programs are scheduled to begin in September this year.
Applications in Vietnamese and English have to be submitted online and sent to the Vietnam International Education Development at 21 Le Thanh Tong Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi by July 1.
