in cambodia politics, yes, lots of reforms are need in order to better not just the country but the social security, welfare, rights of the people and citizens as well. yes, people can become "disillusioned" with potential lose trust and lose confidence in the gov't. people must call for real reforms and concrete enforcement, etc. it has approved, but it be better, so the work is never finished. everyone of us who love and care about cambodia can all help to make a real, lasting difference. given what cambodia went through so much in the recent past, one cannot ignore and continue to allow injustice, etc to stay. yes, we must help to reform cambodia in anyway we can. cambodia and its people deserves better life, better education, better standard of living, better infrastructure, better law, better society, etc, etc, really. i mean, the list is endless.
most khmer who left cambodia did so because of safety reason, because of living in fear for their life, because of lack of medical care, social justice, or justice in general, because of repression, suppression and even political injustice, etc, etc. the list is endless. yes, cambodia is approved, but it could've been better and must continue to be better as the work is never finished. i pray god help cambodia and khmer people from all walks of life to be better.
and the thing about the majority political party, of course, they are the majority and will win if they depend on votes, etc; however, to satisfy everyone from all walks of life, khmer people learn the arts of compromise like in a win-win situation when it comes to reforming cambodia because cambodia belongs to all khmer people and citizens. we must make reforms for the sake of cambodia and khmer people. keep educating everyone of us and help each other without so much political involvement as there are more to cambodia than you and i, realy.
one reform is to allow our citizens to criticize the gov't, the ruling class, the leaders, etc. like at work, we all get evaluated and were given constructive criticism all the time, so should our people to allow to freely criticize our gov't without fear of safety, etc. that's how cambodia can become a better country for all of us. of course, we all should live by the rule of law. everyone of us should take responsibility and accountability for our own action, behavior, etc. that's how it should be, really!
