Well, since you and your family are very smart, we need you and everyone in your family to help educate those who are your compatriots and have been considered by you and your family to be DUMB Khmers.
Calling them DUMB is not going to help; in reality it would be DUMB on your part to just call them DUMB and not do anything to help them become SMART like you.
I doubt you live in Cambodia even though you implied it. The country you now live in provided you and your family with help initially without calling you and your family DUMB the first time you landed in their land and looked a little ignorant and lost in a new land. The election is approaching, what the opposition parties should do in order to increase its chance of prevailing over the CPP?
In my own opinion, up to this moment, some Khmer politicians are still considering self interest and ego well above the national interest. And that will harm Cambodia badly.
For instance, what should the Human right party do at this moment?
The best solution is to dissolve its party and join the Sam Rainsy party in order to produce a strong force to combat the CPP party.
I have heard so many times that our people called on the 2 parties - SRP and HRP - to combine. I personally think that was a wrong call because the SRP has already created a long time before the HRP, which has identical policy as the SRP.. The leaders of the HRP have ego problems by refusing to join the SRP.
So, the “break Khmer apart” has started from there. If they (HRP’s leaders) like Cambodia, they should not have created another party. They have undoubtedly revived the same crazy problem: 10 Khmers, 10 political parties.
We must know how to concede and accept the perception that it is all right to work under Khmer; otherwise, we will work under the Vietnamese.
By exhorting the human right party to dissolve, I don’t think I will get much support from the HRP members. But if they think carefully, they will support my idea: lose to Khmer and win over the CPP, which is simply a Vietnam’s hand, is the right thing to do.
The right time for the HRP to create is after SRP win the election.
The HRP’s existence at this moment will only break the voice of SRP and strengthen the CPP. This is a lose-lose situation for the HRP and for Cambodia.
So, please resolve the “unity problem” by dissolving your HRP party.
