If these are the quotes from Ven Loun Sovath, they should be listed in order as follows:

(1) "Cambodian Buddhist monks are under pressure of the politicians" - Ven. Loun Sovath

My comment: I don't have the answers.

(2) "Monks are not arresting the monks, laymen are arresting the monk" - Ven. Loun Sovath

My Comment: I agree some part of it, but I still suspect that some monks are Communists (Viets and Khmer-CPP who serve Viet Congs) playing themselves as monks. Another part Ven Loun Sovath is a unifier of his people. He has a great love for them regardless they are working for Viet Congs.

(3) "You (laymen) arrest the monk, it means you arrest Lord Buddha including all Cambodian monks and Supreme Patriarchs" - Ven. Loun Sovath

My comment: This is called reminder. Ven Loun Sovath woke up his people who still believe in Buddha as their savior, but Communists are Evils, they disregard the Holy men such as Buddha. They crucified God in a form of human, what so grand about Buddha? But Ven Loun Sovath's suffering will save more souls, the souls that lost to the evil Communists to return to Dharma. From the PBS of Buddha's biography, He was asked to perform a miracle to defeat the army of the invader of his native country, but Buddha stayed silent. He engaged no politics no activities among people, He only taught Dharma how to end the sufferings.

(4) "No one can ban me from fulfilling my tasks, the tasks that are not opposing the Vinaya and the Rule of Law" - Ven. Loun Sovath

My comment: I disagree with the Venerable, because in order to defeat the evils, one must go through suffering like he has done to save the lost souls. Arresting this monk or others who protest for justice for peace is the evils' job. His tasks will save so many souls, so arresting him or crucifying him will lead to the great victory of the work he has tried to accomplish.

(5) "You arrested me by force, by anger and hatred, by greed and delusion....I have no anger and revenge, and I forgive you all" - Ven. Loun Sovath

My comment: The evils did not kill him, means they are still afraid of he (Ven Loun Sovath) will become a Martyr to the cause of social justice.

(6) "The means of non-violence will overcome all obstacles" - Ven. Loun Sovath

My comment: True but not always true.

(7) "Natthi Santi Paramam Sukham = No Other Happiness is Greater Than Peace" - Ven. Loun Sovath

My comment: To have PEACE, we must make WAR, fight to make Peace. We have to endure the pain to save others in order to reach PEACE.

Ven Loun Sovath's Quotes are more like a Unifier of his people, because he shows no sign of taking side. He embraces a group of working with Vietnamese Communist (CPP) and he embraces a group of all parties, especially the poor.

He broke Buddha's rules, but for a good cause for his native country and his people who are living under Vietnamese expansionism.

Lord Buddha not equal to monks, Lord Buddha just a lonely guy who ran off during the night abandon his family, his nation and his responsibilities as the king. Since all the monks who had been there in the wat for very long time, What have they done for the nation? Did they build manufactures so that the people might have jobs and care for their families, did the monks invent technologies so that the people will live a better lives? Because of faking responsibilities, and nurture the nation..Allow it to collapse because of self ignorance and self pride..

Don't forget that Ven. Loun Sovath is now a world celebrity, he is a well known leader of human right activist.

The stupid Viet Congs/CPP arrested him just like lifting him up to the sky, and his name is even more famous around the globe.

What is your religion, May I ask?

Did you mean "Monks are not equal to Buddha"?
Buddha discovered Dharma after his numberless lives (according to His Biography shown through PBS TV station). This holy man (Buddha) must be sent from heaven (GOD) to carry His duty to help human beings how to end the sufferings. If all of us follow the Dharma we will be all end the sufferings and we will not again reborn. Then GOD will create us a perfect Universe under Peace for ever.

How to end suffering? The more you are practicing it, the more you encounter the suffering..Why? Those who are not practicing, live a better lives than those who practicing it..? Are all the people who believes in Christianity live in suffering states now? And those who have every things that they need, suffering in this delusion of suffering too?

You are clueless about "Dharma" how to end the sufferings. To end the sufferings mean to stop the re-birth. All humans are sufferings, even they are rich having all food, clothes to wear, still they are sufferings. They cannot defeat the disease and/or defeat "Death". That is what Buddha's Dharma means.

Buddha (Gautama) said there're many Buddhas before Him and there will be many after Him. Everyone can becoming "Buddha", but that person has to build up his good deeds for too many lives, like when he reborn he has to do only good deeds, for too many lives to becoming "Buddha". But no body can become "GOD", the creator. There is only ONE the Almighty who rules the Universe.

I think when everyone becomes "Buddha" GOD will create us a perfect "Universe" golden universe and Peace.

That is why a;; Buddhas teach us only how to end the sufferings, or stop re-birth through "Dharma".
