This is an old story, it's been almost a year. Don't you have other news or any work to do?

the opposition whiners like to accuse cambodia of everything and they politicized their whinings to the gullible people out there. of coure, the so-called land grabbing issue or land dispute or what have you is not gov't doing, you know. so stop politicize that, ok! what those disadvantaged people or cambodia in general need is housing rights for them, not politicized it, ok! wake up already, really!
if you know the whole truth, the oppositon political people always show old news here, there and everywhere. you see, if you are not keep up with the current event in cambodia, you will fall gullible into the trap of those opposition whiners, you know. please to cambodia to see for yourself before you buy into those unruly opposition people's lie and unruly behavior, really. no educated people who just buy into hearsay or rumor without trying to verify the accusation themselves first, you know. in college, we were taught to observe, research in the field, etc, before we come to a sound conclusion, you know. so, please use the research skills we learned from college to verify before become gullible with unruly people like those oppositon politicians, you know.
those opposition politicians are biased, prejudice, discriminatory, evil, selfish and self-proclaimed as leader. no cambodian people with some sort of education would vote for them as they among the most incompetent, ineffective, unethical group of political people who ran away and hide overseas who never even lived through the KR rule, so they have no real life experience at all for them to make all kind of trouble for cambodia, you know. khmer people in cambodia don't really trust those oppositon people because one they run away all the time to hide overseas. they are real coward and blinded by their racism paranoia and their outdated thinking from time long past, you know. they are a remnant of the old cambodia society going back before the KR time where inequality reigned high and corruption rampant and class status that created discrimination, prejudice and bias among khmer society. and they are resistent to positive changes in cambodia; in short, they are outdated, privileged group of people going before the KR time, so they did not learn from the KR brutality at all. they are bad people, you know. thank god, they are getting old now, so the new generation of cambodian people with good education and new way of thinking and see the world will have an opportunity to govern cambodia for a real, positive change once and for all, you know. i don't like those outdate people from old society of cambodia, there were too much inequality from the past era in cambodia society then, you know. today in cambodia, thank god, it is different due to time and changes, etc...

what i don't get is what's the big fuss over boeung kak development? if we look at the very old maps of phnom penh, most of the surrounding areas were canals, ponds and lakes of all sizes; they had to fill up most of phnom penh areas in order to build it into a city we see today. even the area where the present-today independence monument sits was once a lake, the area where psah thmey sits now was also once a lake, etc, etc... most of phnom penh we see today was once dotted with many lakes, canals, etc where they had to fill up the land to build the city of phnom penh, so why now people make such a big fuss over the development and fill up of boeung kak lake? i don't get get! i'm sure in the near future, other lakes in the phnom penh city limit areas will follow suit as land become more expensive and city is expanding and developing, etc, etc, you know. get used to it, phnom penh cannot stay small forever, you know. soon, too, they will build more bridges across the mekong river, the tonle sap river, etc, etc. and that huge areas east of phnom penh called areyksat will also be developed as soon as they build bridges across the mekong river there from the west side of phnom penh, you know. note phnom penh's growth and expansion is inevitable in the near future. so hang on to you hat, ok! god bless cambodia.
also, the present phnom penh international airport will have to be expanded sooner or later to accommodate long haul jet flights and so on as the city is welcoming more and more tourists every year, you know. don't expect phnom penh city to stay small forever, ok; phnom penh needs room to grow, really! god bless phnom penh and cambodia.

1. All the areas souround Beng Mok lake were bought by those people there before 1993 and they have legal titles to build houses.
2. If any company wants to have that land they must get the consent and pay the market price.
3. The government must ensure that the people got paid a reasonable market price, this is how governments around the world doing development.
Now you see if the govt is doing the same thing as other government do? No. Not at all. They just rob from the poor for Yay Pou which is the god sister of Chumteav thom.
