Crown Prince Naruhito will leave for a weeklong tour of Thailand, Cambodia and Laos on June 25.
The schedule was reported Tuesday to a Cabinet meeting.
The crown prince last visited Thailand in 1994. He has never visited Cambodia or Laos.
His first destination is Bangkok, and he will return home after visiting five cities, including Laos' capital Vientiane.
During the tour, the crown prince is scheduled to meet leaders of the three countries. In Cambodia, he will visit Angkor Wat.
He will also lay flowers at memorial monuments for the Japanese police officer Haruyuki Takata, who was in a U.N. peacekeeping mission in Cambodia, and Atsuhito Nakata, a Japanese volunteer who was working for a U.N. election-monitoring program in the country. Both were killed in armed attacks in Cambodia in 1993.

Wow!! The Japanese Princess is very beautiful. I read a little bit her background, and it is quite impressive. She was a Harvard Educated and hold high position in Japan before she married. Now she is Her Imperial Highness the Crown Princess Masako.

it's good that they mention thailand and laos as well because if not, the stupid oppositon people will whine about cambodia being the colony of vietnam and thus not wanted the royal couple of japan to visit cambodia because of that. you see, the opposition party people are real stupid and ignorant. i would never vote for them because they are not my type, plus i never like them anyway, you know. anyway, welcome to cambodia, prince and princess of japan. please don't let the stupid, ignorant opposition people tell you that cambodia is the colony of vietnam or whatever, they are stupid politician that still live in the dark ages era, really. that's all they can think of is cambodia is the colony of vietnam. they are really stupid in that sense, you know. i'm glad everyone else ignore those whining oppositon people that try to tell the world that cambodia is a colony of vietnam, thus the world shouldn't recognize cambodia. and cambodia continue to be shunned and isolated from the rest of the world that way. i would never vote for those stupid oppositon party group of racist people, you know.
