Our history will never forget what vietnam doing to khmer krom!
The Viet are leeches and parasites and it feeds off the Khmer Krom people and now it is feeding off Khmer people!

We must fight back in any way we can to save Khmer ........
We, Khmer still rememeber what Vietnamese did to the Cambodian people 'Damh Tai Oang'. Vietnamese burned Khmers alive, in Vietnamese language call 'Damh Tai Oang'. Vietnamse still not consider Khmer as their friend, they always lier, we know that YOUN-Vietnamese not hornest to Khmers. Most Vietnamese reconize and know the word 'Damh Tai Oang'.
Let's move on guys. Focus our energy to protect what we have left. That is still a hard thing to do. Stop the mourning, Khmer Krom is lost forever... we are lucky if we can keep the motherland .

khmer krom should forever continue to fight and struggle for their independence from vietnam to the like of south sudan and east timo and even palestine. the problem is khmer krom do not want to be under vietnam control, so of course, they will continue forever to struggle and fight for their freedom to be independent. after all khmer krom does have its own culture, tradition, and language, etc to call for independence. i think khmer krom will continue to do so despite different opinion out there. how could vietnam control a large swathe of their country if that portion do not want to be control by vietnam? that's why we see repression, suppression, and other human rights abuse, etc, etc. vietnam do not understand that khmer krom people do not want to be control by vietnam and are very independent-minded kind of people. and vietnam failed to see and understand that? so there will always be the fight and the struggle as a result. i think it's a matter of time before khmer krom get their independence eventually when vietnam grow tired of khmer krom fights and struggles, etc, you know. for those of us who do not know about khmer krom, beside reading history about it, i also suggest the world and those who want to understand better the plight of khmer krom indigenous people's rights and freedom and identity, etc to travel to that area and section of khmer krom in vietnam and see for themselves how different khmer krom is to the rest of vietnam. khmer krom is very different from the rest of vietnam like their language, their khmer style pagodas or wats, their culture and tradition even, the feature of the people, etc, etc... my point is you can see the contnast and the difference. remember, historically, the french was responsible for separating khmer krom from their motherland of cambodia when the french colonized their "indochina". so khmer krom case was a victim of the french colonization, especially after the french left indochina at the end of their colonization and left khmer krom to the control of vietnam. but to khmer krom people, khmer krom areas of vietnam will always be khmer krom themselves. to understand it better, remember the huge khmer empire angkor civilization that we see its ruins at angkor today, well, khmer krom was part of that huge khmer empire that stretched all the way from present-day thailand, laos to this khmer krom land of the southern portion of vietnam today, all these areas were part of the former khmer empire angkor civilization were so powerful at the time of its peak that there were no thailand, laos or vietnam at that time in the areas we call khmer krom today and thailand or laos today. it was all under the huge, powerful khmer empire then. and the french colonization favored vietnam by granting khmer krom section of the khmer empire to vietnam today. so, that's why the khmer krom will always struggle and fight for independence again from vietnam control. and the more vietnam suppress or repress their freedom, their rights, the more the khmer krom will continue to fight and struggle, so you will never see a real peace there, actually. well, khmer krom do have their own rights and freedom, etc. they were put under vietnam control by the french, if you understand their history at all, really! how could anyone ignore that fact? people can pretend not to know it, but the reality is khmer krom is there and fight and struggle for their independence just like the east timo, the south sudan, the palestine, etc, etc, really.
khmer krom will continue to be different from vietnam forever, like it or not; it's their struggle and fight for their eventual independence. i think it's a matter of time. they will never give their struggle for their freedom and rights, etc! vietnam can continue to suppress or repress them, but that only gives more strength in the khmer krom's struggle and fight for their freedom. so, it's only a matter of time like east timo, etc, i think.
vietnam don't have the resource or the ability to control khmer krom forever. to do so, vietnam needs to be like america or china or any other superpower nations to hold and control huge lands and territories. but vietnam do not have that resource nor ability because vietnam is weak and small and not power not america, china, russia, etc... in the past, we know in history that the french, the british, the spanish, the portuguese, and even the dutch were once powerful empire, but that was history then, today they are different. so, the same could be said about vietnam for control khmer krom, for how much longer? only time will tell, i think. according to history, vietnam can control a struggle indigenous people for long, they will continue to struggle and fight forever.
Tribes created a NATION. Vietnamese or Yue or Yuon/Yuan are the same as other tribes.

You and your people adopted foreign religion called "Buddhism" for about 800 years now, means you and your people follow Buddha's teaching, and the Buddha taught His own people (Indian and Nepali joined) how to end the sufferings. Buddha ended all His Karma(s), He will be no longer reborn to face the sufferings.

If you really have a strong Faith in your heart, that GOD will help and rebuild your nation, you have to be sincere and speak and pray to HIM. Forget it! Khmer Krom has been undergoing ethnic cleansing over the last few decades with Khmer Krom women gradually lured to marry Yuons and produce youngster with Yuon last name. Khmer Krom guys have been left out of the picture and not being able to produce much further.

@ 2:35 PM, you do have a point about the Yuon Identity with heavy Han genetic make up, however, the inevitable result from mixing with Han & Yuon is there nearly identical culture and affiliation. Therefore, even if Khmer Krom retains on paper what's left of their Khmer heritage, their name, name genetic make-up, their language and their practicing culture are being heavily lean toward Yuon's identity more than Khmer's. Without the culture, language, name, nationality, and genetic purity, Khmer Krom children will not take a definitive stand against their Yuon ancestors and Yuon culture. Just forget them!
