So if J.J. Rousseau is not essentially correct that "a child or a person turn to be bad because of his or her environment" it is linked to his or her past karma in past life based on your Buddhism belief.
In your remarks respond to J.J. Rousseau, you seemed to stand on both grounds:
(1) Environment
(2) Cause & Effect or present Results were from the action of his or her past life.
I totally disagree with you for choosing both.
You cannot choose both, either you choose (1) like J.J. Rousseau or you choose (2) based on your belief.
J.J. Rousseau was a Roman Catholic and he changed to a Methodist, but still believes the same GOD.
In Christianity, people believe in reincarnation, if some Christians denied "No Christians don't believe in that, people die then either they'd be sent to hell or purgatory or heaven", they are ignorant people. Why, because GOD Himself incarnated to human in flesh "Jesus Christ", then people must also be going to the same process until she or he finishes her or his duty on earth.
So J.J, Rousseau fell in that Category. I am by all means, I don't know anything even this life I do know so little, BUT I believe that there are too many things we humans don't know including plenty scientists cannot even predict the forecast accurately anymore.
I just read, an intelligent machine was recently found in Russia Peninsular and this machine is about 400 million years old, and found another fossil in Europe is about 4 million years, which told me we knew nothing that existed prior to 4000 to 6000 years.
To some who believe in Buddha like yourself that Nirvana will be for everyone who practice higher and higher as Buddha did or as many Buddhas before this 2500 years old Buddha did, but I don't believe so because I have no way of knowing it. But I knew that somethings existed beyond humans comprehensive.
If this earth is 4-5 billion years old, how many Buddhas before this one you worshiping existed? I prefer evidence, proofs not hearsay.
If this earth will be soon shifted and many nations will be destroyed by water and solar flare will destroy and kill all human species as Nostradamus (War Prophet) and other visionaries predicted, then I believe Einstein once said "GOD does not play Dice", and I wouldn't worry what J.J. Rousseau said. After all his remarks is not correct anyway, and so Buddha 2500 years is not correct either.
Btw: Furthermore, you (Ven. Hok Savann must not condemn Vietnam and Hun Sen" because your belief is based on bad or good deed in past life of a person, so here is the result.
Last but not least, have you ever looked back and realized that Cambodia Kingdom was not created by Buddhism but Hinduism? All the destruction and endlessly defeated and the collapse of the Empire due to the facts that Buddhism did it. Is the Buddhism is the bad Karma of the Hinduism?
Do you believe in curse? Could it be true that Buddhism in Cambodia is being cursed by the Hinduism or the Hinduism's bad deeds that was why the endlessly sufferings in Cambodia was given to the hands of Buddhism?
Since you are the believer in Karma, can you share? I am so anxious to read about Cambodia's destruction from a Buddhist monk who believes in Karma. Thank you.

Btw: I do respect your belief and respect a native of Nepal-India then became Buddha as a great teacher in His time, but I don't believe He was a greatest one. I also learned more that there're people whom you never heard of or you don't care to learn or to know about them, because they were not Buddhists, they were holy people and performed miracles on this earth, and they glorified all to GOD. Buddhist Khmer monks this day are so corrupted and piling too many bad deeds upon themselves. Those high ranking monks in Cambodia have chauffeurs to drive them around, and their automobiles are not cheap.
Too many Pagodas built and more are still building in Cambodia. It is a way that the CPP collect money from the Khmer people to pay Yuon and for themselves.
In the US, the Khmer fake Buddhists built and build temples even rent an apartment for the monks to stay. The founder and the monks together make money and share. They fight each other to control the money of their temples.
If we criticized them they said "How about the Christians".
I renounced my Buddhism because I just realized Khmer Buddhists are mostly scam organizations. I am going back to Hinduism, followed my ancient ancestors, the empire's builders.
