John 9

Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind

As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

“Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.

His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?” Some claimed that he was.

Others said, “No, he only looks like him.”

But he himself insisted, “I am the man.”

10 “How then were your eyes opened?” they asked.

11 He replied, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see.”

12 “Where is this man?” they asked him.

“I don’t know,” he said.

The Pharisees Investigate the Healing

13 They brought to the Pharisees the man who had been blind. 14 Now the day on which Jesus had made the mud and opened the man’s eyes was a Sabbath. 15 Therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. “He put mud on my eyes,” the man replied, “and I washed, and now I see.”

16 Some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.”
But others asked, “How can a sinner perform such signs?” So they were divided.

17 Then they turned again to the blind man, “What have you to say about him? It was your eyes he opened.”

The man replied, “He is a prophet.”

18 They still did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight until they sent for the man’s parents. 19 “Is this your son?” they asked. “Is this the one you say was born blind? How is it that now he can see?”

20 “We know he is our son,” the parents answered, “and we know he was born blind. 21 But how he can see now, or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. Ask him. He is of age; he will speak for himself.” 22 His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders, who already had decided that anyone who acknowledged that Jesus was the Messiah would be put out of the synagogue. 23 That was why his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.”

24 A second time they summoned the man who had been blind. “Give glory to God by telling the truth,” they said. “We know this man is a sinner.”

25 He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”

26 Then they asked him, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”

27 He answered, “I have told you already and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples too?”

28 Then they hurled insults at him and said, “You are this fellow’s disciple! We are disciples of Moses! 29 We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.”

30 The man answered, “Now that is remarkable! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. 31 We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will. 32 Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind. 33 If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”

34 To this they replied, “You were steeped in sin at birth; how dare you lecture us!” And they threw him out.

Spiritual Blindness

35 Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”

36 “Who is he, sir?” the man asked. “Tell me so that I may believe in him.”

37 Jesus said, “You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.”

38 Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.

39 Jesus said,[a] “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.”

40 Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked, “What? Are we blind too?”

41 Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.

Jesus said,[a] “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.”

=====================================

I once was blinded but now I can see, the light of the world is Jesus.

The night is coming for those who say they can see, they shall become blind, though they say they can see.

If thy eye be darken, thy whole body is full of darkness. This is spiritual blindness Jesus is talking about. Light has come into the world but the world loves the darkness.

Without Jesus, no light will be had in the next life, only darkness. Because the physical sun and moon will be removed.

This is serious matter to trample underfoot if you understand Jesus implication. Anotherwords, all are spiritually blinded from birth until you realize the Light that is in Jesus alone. Sin is the cause of spiritual blindness. For this man it wasn't sin that caused the blindness but that God would be glorified and sin is exposed to those who say they can see.

Cambodia greatest need is for spiritual blindess to be removed so that they can come to the Light of the world, which is Jesus. No need to pray to a dead log.

Is KI-Media trying to convert Cambodians to Christianity? If KI-Media thinks that Christianity brings prosperity and security to their people, then KI-Media is mistaken. Lies, deceptions, colonization, and Wars bring riches and security to a country. Religion is to keep population in line.

Your Buddhists hijacked Khmer Empire (Hinduism) for 800 years, what have you done beside miserable and losing the land to Yuon?

Take your Buddhas back to India and Nepal and don't come back to destroy more.

India and Nepal do not worship Buddhas their countrymen, they are Hindu.

Cambodians should be freed to choose any religion if they desire.

Buddhists are weak.

Whomever wrote this article is a freak, at this day in age some of us still believe in fairy-tale story that was written by man. What a joke, if God all mighty in this universe, now man shall suffer.

Theary is a Christian. She thought throwing Bible verses around will make people convert. This is a Christian fundamentalist illusion that people just pick up the Bible, read it and then become believer.

She converted me. Wonder the days Khmers were forced to believe Buddhas, how many lives were killed from Hinduism to Buddhism under the absolute monarchy back then?

I love all thousand Buddhas, but I do not believe their ways will help us free from sufferings. Those Buddhas taught almost the same, but their philosophies make us homeless without a country/nation. They cannot help or save our nation.
We are cursed and we keep losing land and very soon we will have no country/nation.

Religious people are quite adapted in killing each other i.e protestant against catholic, hindu against muslim, muslim against christian, buddhist against buddhist etc....

So pick your god or side if you're a non-believer and let the blood flows from all those sinners!

We are all sinners, just some have less sins and some have more sins.
We are animals alike, and if we watch Discovery Channel some film shows about wild animals how they live. The stronger killed the weaker.
In my life I have encountered strange things while no ones near me could have seen what I saw. Once was OK, but I encountered a few times which is hard to ignore.
I sent letters to a world famous scientist in NY Dr. Michio Kaku asked for his help. You know what he replied back?
"Dear fan. we scientist knew only 4% whereas 96% we don't know. May be we need to pray for answers..."
My experiences sent to Unsolved Mystery and Beyond Belief.

Im not quite sure what are you trying to tell me about what my belief and your belief got to do with where i live. Just to let you know, United States Constitution said the government is separated from the States and the church.

11:18am,

Your family should be worried about you now. They should keep an eye on you all the time.

Sounds like you see things.

11:18am, I doubt that a scientist like him would rely on praying for the answers of the unknown.

Maybe science and engineering?

USA created by Christians whom you said believing in fairy tell. Why don't you go back to your small miserable hole in Cambodia?

No my family members do not need to keep their eyes on me, I am perfectly fine and healthy after I saw the apparition. Those apparitions appeared to me were holy not evils. I was lying on my deathbed in Hospital, but after that I got up and walked. Drs. and nurses were shocked.

11:45 AM
Dr. Michio Kaku believes in GOD. Watch his 5 tapes of the Mystery of the Universe. 51% American Scientists believe in GOD today.

11:47am, are those the same Christians who owned slaves? But hey, in the Bible you're permitted to trade, own and kill other human beings.

Are you sure you're not reading the Old Testament?

Dear 11:47 am,

I not going back to Cambodia yet until you go there and live in that rat hole first. Anyways, you sounded very frustrated, if you want me to leave the country, Stephen Hawking has to go too because he doesnt believe in your folklore.

I can see how little you knew about the first amendment to the US Constitution.
The US Constitution DID NOT say " United States Constitution said the government is separated from the States and the church." as you said.

The US constitution says "Separation of church and state in the United States" or "wall of separation between church and state".

Why should I go to your country? You are Cambodian and you belong to your evil land Cambodia.
Stephen Hawking is not Cambodian why should he go to your miserable country?
Stephen Hawking does believe in GOD, but he is angry at GOD for his disease. Well Hawking is not American scientist, Thanks GOD for he is not.

Anonymous said...

12:27,you're right. "Separation of church and state". it just how i said all wrong.

12:44 pm, Hawking does not believe in God and he is disproving it. And why should i have to go, you should go because that's where you belong. I belong to the True Sin City.

People are so protective of their gods that the killing of another human being is not seen as evil but a sign of total faith and a sure ticket to heaven.

Child rapes by priests happened here in the good old USA and you don't have to travel all the way to Cambodia to find the evil deeds.

Hawking is too angry at God for his disease and said he disbelieve God. He is not American so big deal. If this English man named Hawking starts to pray God instead of bashing God he may be not cripple like he is now.

I don't even Hawking is a real scientist like American Dr. Michio Kaku.

Slavery has been always existed since who knows when? The Black people kidnapped their own people then sold them to the White people or another Black for money. The White men who created the USA bought from the Black in Africa who did the slavery business (like in Sudan today), why do you blame on the Bible? The Bible is the sacred History recorded what happened in those generations, especially the words of GOD through Prophets.

Cambodians have slaves more than other countries, and they're bought by Koreans, Chinese their own Asians. Cambodians sold kids to be prostitutes to another countries.. and many more.

1:20pm, does a belief in god a first requirement to be a real scientist to you?

Mr. Hawking may not be an American but he's the top of his class in theoritical physics.

Children raped by Priests, then the Priests are put to jails, and some children who were coached by the adults to make accusations for money also heard. However, Buddhist Monks having sex with women and have kids, the Khmer community stay silent in the US. Why?

No it does not have to be, but I can careless about the non_American people. Hawking is an English man whose country is full of Muslims. Why should I care of Hawking, many said he is too angry at GOD for his disease? I am proud of 92% Americans who believe in GOD. I am proud of American scientists not others.

Anonymous said...

1:39pm, the catholic church stayed silence and moved accused priests around so they can hurt more kids. Are you not aware of how many kids have been damaged for life?

Buddhist monks are not saints either. They're as bad as their Christian bretherens in terms of using religions to control people for their monetary and sexual need.

Whenever bad thing happens, it's alway a god's plan.

The United States of America remains a powerful nation on earth. 92% American people believe in GOD, whereas 8% which is less than 10% don't.

God must be existed.

Yes, the powerful god who can't make 100% of anything.

He make christian, muslim, buddhist, hindu and others so we can kill each other in his name so we go to heaven.

Those accused priests/pastors/ministers are either dead of in jail, except buddhist monks still go on. In Texas, Maryland, ...more in the US committing crimes and sins.

The bad things belong to evils, only the good things that belong to God.

Anonymous said...

2:12pm, it's only evil if you get caught.

So god makes you as imperfect as posible so that you can do evil and repent it afterward.

Kind like those priests who serve god and evil at the same time.

Neat plan!

You spend your entire life accusing GOD? My siblings (4 including me) are completely difference in term of doctrines or politics. Our Dad is a a civil nuclear, he works so hard to put us to good schools. Dad always advises us to do good and study hard, BUT my 2 siblings running amok, partying and drinking, while my 3rd and I are maintaining good grades.
You cannot blame my Dad for creating my 2 siblings to be bad. It is their destinies. Dad even sent them to good counselors and he pays more attentions to them than my and my 3rd.
Our Lord (God) is the same, except God is Almighty. Why should the Lord uses His power to change us? He gives us a will to change our own. If not then it is our own Karma/sins.

A largest religion in the world, and a few bad seeds in them, the haters running naked after the Catholics barking and bashing them, still the Catholics keep rising.
It is good that you are Cambodian and thanks God that you are not in 92% believers in the US.

What amazes us the most is that Cambodians are majority Buddhists and Buddhism was legitimized by Jayavaraman 7, a new ruler from Java island in the late 13th century. All the Hindu Temples were sacked, robbed and raped by Buddhists. Many faithful Hindu tried to save their ancient religion, but were all executed. The last one tried during he took power (Jayavaraman 8), but he failed. Every citizen in Cambodia must worship Buddha(s) not Hindu God (Brahman). For nearly 800 years, the empire collapsed and Cambodia became weaker and weaker, now Cambodians are slaves in their own country, still see nothing wrong with their new religion (Buddhism) that destroyed Cambodia.

Some fanatic Cambodian Buddhists took refuge in Christians' great nation (US) but still barking and chasing biting their God. Not to mention those Buddhas' own people (Indians and Nepalese) don't even recognize Buddhism as a state religion.

These fanatic Buddhists in/from Cambodia sure think they are wise and know all.

Why live in a country that majority are Christians if these fanatic Buddhists are so fucking hate the Christians?

Shame on them. No wonder God helps America not Cambodia.

Anonymous said...

Cambodia would had stayed powerful an Empire if that foreign Bastard Jayavaraman 7 did not destroy Hinduism. If we stay Hinduism followed our ancient ancestors our nation would have not collapsed. Buddhism is WEAK.

2:40pm, when it's a crime committed by the church on your fellow Americans who are just kids, you rather look away.

How patriotic of you. Defend the defenseless? No but hey, God bless America.

It's the unquestioned blind faith parishioner like you that enable those rapist-in-lord clothing to continue abusing thousands of innocent lives.

But, hey it's not my kids, right?

3:08pm & 3:14pm, god doesn't take side while we butcher one another like the protestant and catholic Irish or the Indian Hindu and Pakistani muslim.

Or you can go to Sri Lanka for Buddhist against Buddhist bloodfest.

Fight for your gods? Nah.

The weird things are:

-The Fanatic Buddhists hate, jealous, and angry at the Christians, but they enjoy living in the Christian powerful country (US).

-The Muslims hate the Americans so much, but they too enjoy living in the powerful country (US).

They bash the Americans' GOD, but they run so fast to get their US citizen for they are afraid of being deported back to Cambodia and to Muslim countries, the miserable lands.

Thais and Cambodians are Buddhists, but not once these two ever have peace. They cut each other throats and Thais joined with their neighbor Viets determined to exterminate Cambodians from the face of this earth, still the Cambodian Buddhists fight against GOD' people.

With a very small population 14 millions whereas half are Viet invaders, still barking against billion Christians.

Good new that more and more Cambodians convert to Christians.

Thanks "Theary". You did not convert me because I am agnostic for the moment, but I start to see the gray picture clearer and clearer.

If I were to choose I definitely choose GOD. Because miracles happened to me, while the Drs. and nurses said that I'd be dead mid-night in the Hospital. Those apparitions must be sent from GOD. I don't care a few haters said.

God trying to make peace with man through his Son, Jesus Christ.

"He that believeth in the Son hath life and he that believeth not in the Son hath not life, but the wrath of God abideth on him/her."

By nature, man is a rebellious creature to his Creator as it is obvious here on this post. But yet God, true to his nature, being good to man want to amend the relationship with man as to destroying him without mercy.

Jesus is God's envoy to earth as his ambassador of his kingdom. Jesus represent his Father's will on earth. He did the will of his Father, who is in heaven.

As the Pharisees did not know and seek to destroy Jesus, (God's Ambassador) We have plenty of Pharisees today who seek to destroy God's Ambassadors of his Kingdom. You know what? a day of reckoning is coming for those who rejected Peace with God. This what it means that the wrath of God abideth on those who refused to accept his Son as their Messiah.

There's no might structures that man hath built that God won't able to bring them down. I've read alot of them becoming a runious heaps of late.

Chosen to die is consider a wise thing for most, and chosen to accept life everlasting is seem but a trival matter.

"...For the wages of sin is death buth the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, the Messiah..."

Choose Life!

Is he on vacation? Or Cambodia is too small to see? Or was he simply too exhausted from the Vietnam war?

Please come back and relay the message to us.

Waiting patiently.

Seem harsh to punish someone solely on his/her rejection of Christ.

You choose life minding your own business and then BAM! out of the blue, this god is sending you to burn in eternal life in hell.

But hey, he loves you.
