I went to donate and I had a hard time looking for a place to donate.
If I may make a suggestion, on your Donate page, place the "Donate" icon at the top right beneath your amount raised heading that said "Raised : $48,727.99"
And do the same on the Home page.
Excuse the crude analogy, but people do these things (altruism) in the 'heat of excitement' so to speak, don't lose their excitement (support) from having invisible, have-to-work for donate icons.

If you're afraid of fraud, then online donation is your safest bet. You have electronic trails and can dispute the account with your bank.
If you have paypal, you can donate it securely. It first goes through paypal and the account you set up with it, so it is as secure as you buying books from amazon or making an online purchase.
