BANGKOK, Oct 10 (Bernama) -- Thai Army Chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha has called on neighbouring Cambodia to consult with member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) on its reported plan to develop a nuclear power project.
General Prayuth said the Cambodian nuclear power project has "pros and cons" and that Phnom Penh needs to discuss with other Asean members before proceeding with the project, Thai News Agency TNA reported.
The project is believed to be implemented in Koh Kong in Cambodia's southwestern province.
Asean is striving to become a single community by 2015.
