Look at the picture of Duong Vannara, ethnic Phnong, and look at MP Chhean Vun's face. help me to analize their characteristic, please ! because I can't find something to describe this idiot face of Chhean Vun.
Chheang Vun's remark shows his ridiculous ignorance of the responsibilities of the state and those of the opposition.
How on earth would a decent person expect the opposition to build the infrastructure of the country? Do not worry they will when they are in power; the CPP is not the only group that knows how to build the country! Do not forget that for 30 years under the CPP, Cambodia is still a recipient of foreign and international aids. Begging seems to be the norm when one meets Cambodian leader.
Chheang Vun was a nobody in France and becomes a somebody in Cambodia because he is willing and quite cunning in seeking a position for himself to thrive and possesses neither quality nor conscience to serve the country.
Cambodians tend to give value to those who can speak French or English even though these people speak broken French or English.
Even though you are able to speak reasonably good French or English, it is by no mean indicative of your high level of education or possession of knowledge good enough to serve in government. You just simply know how to speak a highly regarded language, but it is simply another language.
Another Cambodian who speaks Thai fluently may not be considered as intelligent as the person who can speak fluently French or English. This is a general trend of thought among ordinary Cambodians even though a fluent French- or English-speaking person is a sore loser in his/her respective country where he or she learns to speak the language.
As usual in Cambodia most often you get a top job with the government not because you are qualified for the job, but because you happen to know how to speak a little French or English and know quite well how to praise the usually idiotic leaders who come to power by forces, demagogy, and willingness to serve foreigners’ interests at the expense of their own country.
Be careful with the so-called Cambodian patriots who may turn out to be patriots for American dollar just like this disgusting character by the name of Chheang Vun who uttered insults to the Pnong people in his reply to the opposition during a parliamentary session. As usual he got away with his rudeness, indecency and ignorance.
Well, that tells you much about the Cambodian parliament which does not represent the will of the people, but a rubber stamp to endorse anything the executive branch wants to do even the selling off of the whole country for quick money.
