Phnom Penh (Cambodia Herald/ANN) - The head of the youth wing of the Sam Rainsy Party appeared in Phnom Penh Municipal Court yesterday, a week after filing a lawsuit blaming Prime Minister Hun Sen for a stampede two years ago.
Before entering the court, Youth Movement leader Soung Sophorn said he had 21 photos as well as videos to present to public prosecutor Meas Chanpiseth.
Speaking after the hearing, Soung Sophorn said he was defending himself in the case since he's a lawyer.
Hun Sen has announced plans to counter-sue the youth group leader if the court finds he is innocent.
The stampede on the third day of annual Water Festival in 2010 killed 353 and injured about 400 people.

Hun sen is just human like us. Why afraid?
WOW ! what a speedy court . Usually , Cambodia court would take long , long
time to process this kind of case e.g. Chhouk Bandit case . Hopefully , the court
will prove , this time , that it is independent and not corrupt . Shame on Obama .
Shame on SRP that distances itself from a HERO and left poor guy to defend himself in this kind of big battle . After all ....

When Vietnam invaded Cambodia in 1979 , Pol Pot forced civilians to go with him to jungles at Khmer-Thai borders to reorganize and fight back Vietnam .
In order to control and make sure that the Cambodians who flee to the border not
to be used by Pol Pot , Hanoi had a secret plan - sent a Khmer Vietminh named Sokun
who was a short time governor of Battambang to set up Norng Chan refugee camp.
Mr. Sokun recruited police force to control the refugees , later on he was joined by
Kong Siloss , an ex- marine Captain from France to take control of military ....That was Hanoi trick .
