CPP Marks ‘Collapse’ of the Khmer Rouge

Somebody forgot to turn the semi-conscious Chea Xim around

“Democracy and human rights were born from the Paris Accords, on 23 October 1991,” said Yem Ponharith, an opposition lawmaker, referring to the UN-led peace accords that ended decades of civil conflict in Cambodian and installed a constitution. “Before that day, how were people living? Were there foreign troops? How were Vietnamese experts living in the country?”
PHNOM PENH - Cambodia’s ruling party and supporters gathered on Monday to mark the anniversary of the fall of the Khmer Rouge, which was toppled by Vietnamese-backed forces on Jan. 7, 1975, nearly four years after coming to power.

The anniversary is a divisive day in Cambodia, with some celebrating the ouster of the brutal regime and others marking the beginning of a 10-year Vietnamese occupation. For the ruling party, it is an anniversary to be celebrated.

Heng Samrin, the head of the Senate and the honorary president of the Cambodian People’s Party, delivered an address to thousands of participants at CPP headquarters in Phnom Penh on Monday, censuring organizations critical of the country’s development efforts.

“Democracy and human rights were not born and developed because of spoken words or reports from some center,” he said, in an apparent criticism of the country’s non-governmental organizations. These came only “after the collapse of the Khmer Rouge,” he said. “Therefore, politicians and everyone in between should consider the truth.”

The annual Jan. 7 address is typically given by Chea Sim, president of the CPP, but on Monday he appeared weak and frail, requiring the help of his bodyguards to walk in his first public appearance since widespread reports of his failing health.

Heng Samrin’s comments come as Cambodia faces increasing criticism over human rights abuses and a shrinking space for freedom of assembly and speech, with activists and government critics in jail and concern that the upcoming national elections will not be free and fair.

7 Makara was a bad day for our motherland, Cambodia. Under the pretext of liberating Cambodia, Vietnam invaded and occupied a big portion of Cambodian land in the eastern border of Cambodia and about 30,000 square kilometers of Cambodian maritime territories including our biggest island Kah tral.

We, Khmer nationalists, should support our patriotic leaders, Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha to win the national election first and then use all legal means such as International court of Justice at the Hague and the United Nations based on Cambodia Map deposited at the UN in 1963.

Sam Rainsy is the best Kaun Khmer patriot who dares to declare that Vietnam is the new colonialist that annexed most of Cambodian territory. That is why he is the only Khmer that Vietnam is afraid of. Vietnam try by all mean to eliminate him from Cambodia by using its puppet government and kangaroo court in Cambodia to deny Sam Rainsy in entering Cambodia.

This is the 21st century; Vietnam can not colonize Cambodia as the last century. The 1991 Paris Peace Agreement signed by 19 signatory countries including Cambodia and Vietnam will protect Cambodia against Vietnam's occupation.

No matter how sneaky Vietnam is, it will not be able to hide its bad intention any more. The world knows that Vietnam is not a honest nation. Vietnam is a thief who never respects its promise.

During Vietnam American war, King Sihanouk of Cambodia helped Vietnam by offering a sentinel or a hiding place near the border of Cambodia and Vietnam to protect Vietnamese and Vietcong from US bombing. In return Vietnam repays the debt by taking a big chunk of Cambodian territory including Kah Tral.

If Vietnam wants to be a good neighbor of Cambodia, it should have let United Nations take over Cambodia after removing Pol Pot from power in Phnom-Penh.

Vietnam should never have occupied Cambodia for 10 years from 1979 to 1989 and sent 6 millions of Vietnamese illegal immigrants to exploit the natural resource of Cambodia and annexed a few thousand squares kilometers of lands and 30,000. square kilometers of maritime territories including our big island Kah Tral.

Vietnam is an international thief and knows how to hide its bad intentions in front of international communities. It is an untrustworthy nation full of malevolence.

Kem sokha,the vice-president of Cambodia's new opposition party(cambodia nationalrescueparty=
CNRP) said recently that the khmer rouge does not exis because
it is only a theater that vietnam uses to hide its heinous act of killing of millions of cambodians
in cambodia between 1975-1979.Why he said like this because it is hanoi who created the khmer rouge so that the world see only khmers kill khmers, not hanoi. That's why
he said the khmer rouge did not exist. But china also wanted to topple Lon Nol,the president of khmer republic, supported by USA.That's why china associated
with north vietnam to fight against Lon Nol by supporting sihanouk whose popularity
could garantee the victory against LOn Nol.However china was cheated by hanoi after it got victory against south vietnam and khmer republic of Lon Nolon 17 April 1975,so that it gets out of china's grip then it allies with soviet from which it sucks all military aids until soviet collapses in the 1990.Vietnam is a nation that no all countries in the world no longer trust. Its wars with France ,USA ,china,Cambodia...are good lessons to learn and to take precautions in the futur.

As for the 7 makara 1979,which was proclaimed to be the day that vietnam liberated cambodians from the killing field ,is a pure illusion that most westerners

see and believe with their eyes,
not their mind in.They don't search
for the truth behind the illusion,so they believe what they
see and hear that khmers kill khmesr and vietnam came to liberate
khmers from the the act of killing of each other. But don't forget, the killing field did not end, since the date of "liberation" ,khmers continued to be killed by "khmers".

In fact, the day of khmer rouge's victory on 17 April 1975 is the day of organization(=Angkar)

of the killing field and the day of "liberation" 0n 7 January 1979 is day of colonisation of Cambodia.

The snake captured its prey(frog on 17 april 1975 and is swallow it on 7 january 1979.
Khmer rouge is hanoi's scapegoat
