Monineath did not love Sihanouk, because she did not bother to shave her head. Monineath loves her title as Queen and her son as King that is all. Sihanouk is just puppet to Monineath. I consider Monineath as a cherry-picker and not a true lover to Sihanouk.
How odd that is? A king and a queen have to travel to china to get a medical check up? That shows you that the whole country od Cambodia has no competent doctors to perform even for a medical check up. So pathetic. I've never seen any other king travel to another country to have a medical check up.
Hun sen sent them away because the the king and his mother approval rating is up.
Hun Sen want to make sure, he still has the iron fist in Cambodia.
In the next few weeks you will
see a lot of Hun in public. He will want to make sure that its his image and not Sihanouk that the last thing Khmer see when they go to bed at night.

Use your common sense, queen mother was followed and serve the king father almost more than 60 years if both of them has no love affair to each other she could not stay with the for that long, she serve our poor king father for the rest of his live. In her age power and title is not important but the emportant to her was giving love to our king. Remenmber combodia constitution gave power to throne committees to choose the king and queen, not to her to choose her own heir to the throne.
Queen mother came from good brought up family if did not love the king father she could has marry with wealthy man and also live comfortable live without got speculate from your guy. You can see all queen and king around the globe had love affair problem.
King and queen went to China for medical check up is to show PM governemt that their health system was very bad and need to improve even poor people try to get treament at neightbouring country.
Queen and king did not talk much or interfering about politic but their questure show that PM government is zero grade and have nothing to get respection from Cambodian like the king and queen do.
You got it right about her devotion to the late the
king. However, you got it wrong about the reason why they continue to go to China for "medical check ups."
The Chinese don't completely trust HS who is playing both Chinese and US cards. There will be many more medical check-ups in Beijing.
